GDI. I miss Mitt and his binders full of women. At least that, while stupid and I disagreed with him on just about everything, was something we knew how to handle. Plus, the man's healthcare plan was the base of the ACA. I can't hate on that. ETA: I know. Preaching to the choir.  |

I watched it live and it was hard to see reactions because there are so many of them to try and watch at once. I was just busy trying to decipher what McCain was doing. |

I honestly kind of regret laughing at Mitt for his "binders full of women," which actually showed he was interested in actively seeking out female leadership in his administration, when I take into consideration that 8 years later we'd end up with "grab 'em by the pussy" in the WH. Same. ETA: I should have said seemed stupid compared to his opponent's eloquence. |

I'm really heartened by the increasing number of VEEP gifs on this board. I haven't watched this yet but I'm a huge Julia Louis-Dreyfus fan so I'm making this my next show to binge. It is so fucking funny, will not disappoint. |

I live in this area. It's really upsetting that the LEOs that are supposed to be protecting my family and neighbors are applauding roughing up potentially innocent people.

I really appreciated this article on how bullying in politics doesn't always pay off. I've been away, have we heard anything about POTUS signing the sanctions bill? Nikki Haley was asked and she didn't answer. I don't know if she's caught on that it's dumb to promise things because you just get the rug pulled out from you or if there's something more significant there. |

If anyone has prayers to spare, a dear friend from my BMB over on TCF (we are on FB now, she hasn't made it over here yet) has had shockingly awful news. On Wednesday her almost 4 yo son had an in hospital food allergy trial. He went into anaphylaxis and is now on life support with no electrical brain activity and is not expected to recover. They could really use any prayers and all the love they can get. My heart is broken.

The MS-13 stuff is so frustrating.
A.) Like everything Trump doesn't actually give a shit about solving the problem, he is just using this to promote his anti-immigration agenda. Fuck him for using the suffering of others as fodder in his speeches to get his crowds riled up. It's disgusting.
B.) Deportation doesn't actually solve the problem, there's a lot of evidence that it actually makes things worse.
