I don't understand Trump's comments about upstate New Yorkers should just move to Wisconsin and not worry about their houses. That doesn't even make sense. You can't just walk away from that without taking a huge hit to your credit, and unless you're a billionaire with lots of rich connections, normal people don't just move on from that quickly and easily. I've talked to a family member who is pretty out of touch because of his higher income. He has told me that if people are not satisfied with their state's government, they should just move. He is one of those "personal choice" people. It really bothers me to think that the people who have so much wealth in this country really think that people have financial burdens because of choice. Moving is expensive and many times, people depend on their family network located in their community. They can't just move.

You have got to be shitting me. Kushner's smile give me chills. I feel like I need to burn some sage or sprinkle some holy water, maybe all of the above and then some.

So is the Interior Sec going after Murkowski for not voting for any of the stupid repeal bills considered an abuse of power? Well bottom line it's fucking stupid. And she's already striking back.

We're fairly well off and have talked about moving to another part of the country with how things are going, but the conversation always goes: "We could go, but we'd need both of us to work to afford a small place there, so we'd need my parents or my sister and her family to come with us. Then we'd need a small compound and maybe just 3 of us could work. " So we basically wind up mentally planning a move that involves relocating our entire support network. We also know we'd be unlikely to pull the trigger and actually go.

I can't even imagine relocating if you have a family support network in place, your kids are in school, etc. I mean sure, if you are young and have no kids and are ok with kind of winging it, that's one thing, but once you've got roots it is a massive effort to move.

On the subject of the Pentagon having a collective panic wee this morning, why DID it take 9 minutes for him to sputter out that second tweet? I'm catching up from yesterday, but my guess is that he was crapping and had to wipe? ETA I see @heartbot already had this thought yesterday.

And that's exactly why I doubt we'll ever relocate. There are too many things holding us here that would make a move so hard even though we really hate what's going on here on a state level. I couldn't imagine trying to relocate if you didn't have the income we have when you rely on a support network the way we do.

Sessions/DOJ filed a brief in a case in New York that the Civil Rights Act protections do not extend to those who are LGBT yesterday (despite a different ruling from the EEOC a couple of years ago). ETA link to story: www.nytimes.com/2017/07/27/nyregion/justice-department-gays-workplace.htmlNow there is a conspiracy theory floating around that the administration took this position (and made Sessions file the brief) so that the left will now start calling for Sessions to be fired and 45 can do so and then continue on down the line until he gets someone who will not recuse themselves from the Russian investigation and fire Mueller. I wish I could say that didn't sound plausible, but with the administration we do have, I could see it potentially being true.

I feel confident that is true.
