Luke is going to use the force to reach out to Leia in like 10 seconds. He would have to have noticed something with her. If that’s the case, then Vader would have felt it too.

My brain has been retrained for chaotic, non-stop action. Good way to put it. But also, Vader isn't really trying to hurt Luke. So he's going soft and slow on him. |

I dunno. She is a Skywalker. Her force signature should be pretty strong. Even if she isn’t a viable option for a Sith, Vader should have felt SOMETHING. Eh. I'm trying to explain it away. But like you said, it's mostly from Lucas not deciding to make her a Skywalker until he wrote Jedi. I am just being an ass and pointing out potential plot holes. 😂 |
