Do you have one? Do you like it/ use it a lot? Do you use it for anything other than making rice?

We used to have a rice cooker and I loved it and used it a lot. The only other things I used it for were steaming veg in the top basket while cooking rice, and for warming up a rice casserole after already having cooked the rice in the rice cooker.
We have since moved the rice cooker to our camper where we have probably used it once, because we bought a ninja foodi which does air fry, pressure cook, and slow cook all 3. So it now cooks our rice. Or whatever else.

I have one! I’m not big on small kitchen appliances but I do love my rice cooker. I love steaming veggies in the little tray on top.

I have an Aroma brand multi-use rice cooker which I use a lot. I almost always cook a protein or vegetable in the steam tray when making rice. I use the steamer for hard boiled eggs (thanks mapleme). The slow cook portion stopped working about 3 years ago but not a deal breaker. I'm a lazy cook who eats rice at least 3x/week so it works for us!

I have one and I do a ton in it! I use it for rice obviously, but also for beans and pulled meat. I've done steamed pancakes in it too. I think I even did mac and cheese in it one time lol. I'm way overdue for a new one though

I have an instant pot that I could use for rice, but a lot of the time when I make rice it’s to go with what I’m making in the instant pot, so it’s not available. I’m having a hard time justifying getting an appliance for something that’s not that hard to do on the stove, but people I know who have one love it. I was skeptical of the instant pot too, but now that I have one I use it a lot.

This is good timing. Our 11 year old $30 rice cooker is finally dying on us. I researched with America's Test Kitchen and chose this one: www.amazon.com/dp/B0838SMXFZ/?tag=atkequipchart-20It has a delayed start, which we use every time we make rice. ATK says that it's easy to clean and makes reliably tasty rice. According to the Amazon reviews it has a really good bowl (which is the one part that we had to replace a few times in our old rice cooker). I only just ordered it, so I don't know how it's going to go yet, but I trust ATK's reviews.
