I've posted ramen beard before. I forget if it was here or GD, but we discussed how the guy is hot. I'd be willing to ignore the bowl beard. You'd have to do this first

Hey there! Today begins several days of solo parenting. So far it is going well. We got out for a walk this morning and so far A has just played at home. She is napping now. I need to go to the grocery store when she wake up and then late my mama is coming over for a sleepover tonight.

Now I am remembering the mac and cheese my friend made recently that had sweet thai sauce in it. It was so freaking good. Must get recipe. Erm, that sounds delicious. Let me know if you get the recipe!

taketheshot, I've never seen it because I can't do scary (even slightly scary) especially with an H that goes out of town for work sometimes. But everyone who I know that's watched it absolutely loved it!

So I had to go to the dentist for a cleaning this morning and it was a truly awful experience. I have been told for over 10 years that my wisdom teeth are impacted and need to come out but they typically don't bother me so I will not have them out yet. The past couple of weeks my left lower wisdom tooth is hurting (usually happens once a year so I can handle it). I told the hygienist that so he'd be careful. Instead he went full force on that side of my mouth to the point that I was making noises, wiggling in my seat, had tears rolling out of my eye and stuff coming out of my nose. He just said "oh, look you're really crying! Do you want a tissue? I thought you said it was the other side that was bothering you?" No, Asshole. Then he continued to pester me about getting my wisdom teeth out and it would be so fun to see me loopy and ill feel so good with the laughing gas.. Blah blah blah. I'm not doing it and I couldn't even respond or defend myself because he was wrist deep into my mouth. Then, he made the comment "Geeze girl! Don't you brush your teeth? You have so much tartar here!" well thats when I spit his hand out of my mouth and said "yes, I do brush, twice a day with the $130 electric tooth brush you guys made me buy at my last appointment." He was a little taken back by that but didn't stop with the comments. Then the actual dentist comes in doesn't say hi or introduce herself, just looks in my mouth and says "all 4 wisdom teeth need to be removed" and left.
I just felt very annoyed and belittled leaving there. I can't wait to get the email asking for a review.. They are getting this entire story.

Yeah, Peekaru, we are fine down here. We are considerably south so we didn't get anything except rain (for that storm at least, the past few days we've had a few). I used to work at the camp right by Bay City and we always got crazy storms off the Bay. That's the only place I've ever seen a water spout plus crazy things would happen like the roof blowing off of buildings or once the chimney on the dining hall exploded (struck by lightning). It was exciting but scary. Well, not the violent/destructive parts. E is already napping today! He fell asleep before 1:30, which is a big deal since I think he has been mostly falling asleep for his naps around 3 (when he gets them). Mind you, it was on the couch while watching Little Baby Bum (thank you to whoever has mentioned that on here, he loves it and whatever, it isn't driving me too crazy yet) and of course not in his crib but I'll take it. I have a super long to-do list. I think I'll start with finally reserving a rental car for our trip next month! I have been procrastinating and I don't know why.

So. A friend of a friend has a cat who had kittens, but her kids are allergic and she wants to rehome them. She's not asking for anything, just wants to get them into loving homes. Originally we were planning on getting a puppy when we got back from Disney... but 1) puppies are so much freaking work (and expensive to board when we go travel) and 2) this kitten is adorable. And is already litter trained. And would be so much easier for us to take care of. What say you, Aug 15?

jess213, I don't like cats so that sways my answer. I love dogs, but no to a puppy before both of my kids are potty trained. So I vote no animals.

RunsforWineandCarbs Thats shitty he won't be there for your anniversary. He'll just have to do bigger when he gets back. Disclaimer: I'm not married and have forgotten about my last 2 (3?) anniversaries.

jess213, I'd get that kitty. But I'm also thinking about how my lonely cat needs a companion. Actually- a puppy or kitten seems like too much work, I'll wait until the only poop I have to deal with is my own.

As someone who has a dog and several cats, get the kitten!!! For the love of all that is holy don't get a dog. So much easier to travel when you have a cat, they are so much more self sufficient, and contrary to what people say cats cam be very affectionate and loving.
This might be affected by the fact that I have the most jealous dog in the world. I love her, but she's made things very difficult the last two years.
Cat person for life!
