Our estimate came in way too high.
So I’m going to curl up into a ball and just scream and rock.
Also, no one is getting any of my requests done or responding to my emails. So I’m just ready to throw in the towel so I don’t scream at anyone.

Well M has an ear infection and bronchitis so that's putting a damper on our weekend. I'm so relieved she was negative for flu & covid, at least she wont be sharing her sickness. She just started antibiotics so hopefully she feels better soon. Tonight is swimming lessons & a food truck in the neighborhood. Tomorrow is Little League opening day which includes a parade and J's first baseball game ever. Then we are going out to lunch at a brewery with some friends, they have an awesome playground with lots of comfortable outdoor seating so I'm looking forward to that.
Sunday is our neighborhood Easter event, with an egg hunt and the bunny. Busy busy weekend! I'm not sure if M will be attending any of this stuff, depends on how she feels and I guess MH and I will take turns.

Why can’t people do their fucking jobs? I feel like I’m being paid a stupidly high amount to bother people to complete tasks. I’m a parent aren’t I, I’m managing kids. This is what my job has come to.

We're still in covid quarantine until Sunday so no plans here other than getting the house organized and cleaned and finish our packing for our spring break trip. Luckily we all feel fine. MH and I just have a lingering runny nose, no other symptoms. The girls will go back to school on Monday and I have quite a bit of work to finish up before our trip.

Taking F to the sugar bush tomorrow. For real this time lol. I told hubby that even if he doesn't come I'm taking my boy. He needs to start the tradition!

Taking M to see a play tonight, maybe with a friend of hers. She was supposed to have a bday party tomorrow but the bday girl is sick so likely cancelled.
P has skating Sun morning.
Otherwise - yard work. Ice cream. Maybe mulch lol.

My DS2 has been under the weather (not sick.. but v constipated) so I am going to chill at home with this weekend and work on that situation while Mh does the swim lesson and soccer games with DS1.
I really want to cook something yummy this weekend, but I haven’t decided what yet.

The weather here is supposed to be cold but dry so I might get some yard work done. Kids are gone all weekend.
Other activities include catching up on some shows and perhaps a nap.

I have cinnamon buns rising this afternoon and I ran out while C was napping to do some clothes shopping for myself. I feel like I have a decent summer capsule-type wardrobe now! I just need a new pair of sandals.
L starts a new round of swimming lessons tomorrow morning, and then my parents are going to BBQ hamburgers at their apartment for dinner. They're leaving Sunday morning and won't be back until June.
Sunday we're having L's friend from down the street over for a play date.

L's soccer league games start tonight. It's her first official team sport, and she's been more interested in picking flowers than keeping her eye on the ball 😬. It's the first team sport for most of the other girls too because of the pandemic, and thankfully the coach is recognizing that.
We will go see the Easter Bunny tomorrow and maybe declutter the garage on Sunday after church. I am watching Downton Abbey for the first time and will hopefully catch a few episodes this weekend. I'm on bittersweet Season 4.

Damn some high school kids can sing. We went to a restaurant and an auditorium. It was like before times.
Except during that time I learned one of Ms close friends has covid and got a class notification (not said friend). So it was short lived carefree fun in my brain.
We masked at the play but very few others were. Mostly small children and some olds. But the crowd was mostly parents and teens.
Are we really still doing this.

We went to an event at the high schools cafeteria this morning and were one of the only families masked. It was… weird. Ugh. I’m over it, too. Can every event from now on be outdoors? Forever?

I get returning to "normal" for some situations. But, like, if we can make an event outside and we can wear masks, can we just do that? I will be wearing a mask while grocery shopping for a long time because it costs me literally nothing to do so. But I'll balance that with an Easter brunch that we're going to with close friends next weekend. If I catch covid I want it to be worth it.
