Also, I need to move F to a size 6. She’s only 4.5 and bigger than my other 2 were when they started kindergarten. The other two need to start watching out, she’s going to catch up to them quickly.

sarenu I will be sending you a weekly bottle of wine throughout this process. Amen. I keep telling myself it will be amazing when we are done. It will cost us a good amount but 3/4 of the house will be updated in those 4 months. Con: construction Pro: - own bathroom - each kid has a room - garage for my car - dishwasher - double oven that isn’t from the 60’s - current sized fridge!!! - open concept for entertaining, plus den for kids toys - having a closet for only our stuff (since the kids share one, dresses usually end up in my closet). So I keep thinking about all that.

I know it's Friday, but I need to share this coffee creamer that I just found. Only 4g of sugar per serving (1TBS).
THANK YOU, CHOBANI!

Put on a sports bra this morning. Mine are like regular bras that have a hook and ring in the back to make it a racer back style. The hook moved when it was washed (how?!??), so now I need to take the bra off to fix it or wait until my husband gets home from the car service center.
Friday problems…

My husband is making bread today.
I am very distracted by the smell of it baking.

It’s Saturday, I’m exhausted but motivated.
I’ve got to clean the house, register two kids for school, and pack some more of the kitchen.
Plus clean out the pantry and work on meal planning based on what we need to use.

charlotte and others, what age do you think is old enough for sleepovers? My kids have been asking for them and I don't think that they're old enough, but I don't know what would be the right age. I have no point of reference, since my entire sleep over friend circle as a kid was neighbors, and everyone knew each other well. So I feel like that circumstance is different than school friends.

mapleme For us it’s going to be case-by-case! DS1 is 7 and it’s the first sleepover for both him + the friend, so the other mom & I are in close communication with frequent updates. We have already agreed that she’ll come pick him up if he decides he’s uncomfortable at any point. They both go to bed early so I don’t think I have to worry about them staying up super late. If my kid goes to a sleepover elsewhere I’ll have to know the parents, and would send his phone (all it does is text/call) with him so that he could contact me independently anytime.

I’ve also been curious about this as R (7) said that her friend wants to have a sleepover. R told me “I can just wear my pajamas and you can pick me up when I’m tired.” So I also don’t think she fully understands how it works. 😂

Sleepovers except the sleeping. Sometimes they even including morning dropoff for breakfast. I think it’s a brilliant idea as a transition, or for families who don’t do sleep overs.

I feel like she'd be a lot to handle at someone else's house. I feel like C will be ready at a much earlier age, but not at the 5 that she is now.

Who recommended the Chobani Paddy’s Day creamer? It’s lovely. Merci. rugger! I guessed you, and went back, and was right. N

It went well! They were asleep before 10 and I don’t think our guest got any jitters or homesickness. I do have a bit of a “hangover” now from being responsible for someone else’s child for so many consecutive hours 😆.

There’s no need for the creamer to be green. Ooh but turmeric is good for fighting inflammation and adds such a delightful spice. I always add turmeric to my chicken soups and also to pumpkin spice smoothies. (But totally agree there is no reason for creamer to be green 🤢 just advocating for turmeric.)

That would be excellent; but it’s def to make it green. “For coloring.” Hire teej for the tumeric campaign at Chobani!

I was actually on a research study on the use of turmeric for inflammation and it’s affects on cancer cells. But I got overlooked when it was published so I’m still salty about it.

Why do my kids wake up and decide to be rude and annoying to each other? I feel like I need to put this on repeat. For the record, we are calling them out on the attitude and ask them if that is acceptable behavior toward a family member (or anyone). Martial Arts has helped because now I ask if they would behave this way with their master or would he ask them to do burpees for being rude.

Confession:
I’m ignoring invites to sign up for things from contacts I know.
I just can’t.
If you have a small business that requires me to sign up for an app or site to promote it and it’s not something I will use. I’m sorry, but no. I already get enough junk mail.
I’m also going to be annoyed you sent it, and be less likely to recommend you. (No one here did this)

A tree fell down the street from us.
We have 60+ year old oak trees in our neighborhood.
It went from one side of the street to the other.
