E agrees with you.
First and only meeting done for the day.
Apple pie for breakfast, cause it’s pi day!!!
Coffee with milk.
Then working on some emails and checking that documents can be opened. Super exciting.
Also need to pack stuff and list and item or two.

Day 2 Day drip coffee with cream and sugar. I drank some last night after dinner so then stayed up until 1am. Ugh to myself.
We'll be eating blueberry pie at snack and reading Happy Pi Day to You!

I am so tired. But I find this time change much easier for the kids to adjust to.
I'm about to make a second cup of coffee with cream and sugar. My mom is going to pick L up from school and then she'll watch the kids while I do school work this afternoon.
The weather is finally starting to warm up and it feels like spring is just around the corner! It's putting me in a good mood despite the fact that I wish I could sleep for a couple more hours 😴

I had a hard time waking my oldest up this AM.
This week is going to be insanely busy & im trying really hard not to go full-blown panic attack. Just got to push through.
MH was supposed to be in charge of meal planning this week. When I asked him what he had planned for the week he just said “spaghetti”.
My dude….

This week is like a calm before the storm. We had a crazy last 2 weeks of March with PTA school events and a huge summit we're sponsoring for one of my clients. I'm going to enjoy the slowness and hopefully the weather gets as warm as they say (high 50's/low 60's!) so I can actually enjoy walking the dog and our after school scooter rides.

DST never usually bugs me that much, but this morning we all woke up at 7:30 (6:30 formerly) and when the timer went off to pack school bags at 8:06, we were NOT ready.
Ah well.
I was going to go to work today but I’ve pushed it off so I can spend the day tidying and cleaning my house, making phone calls, prepping tax stuff, and generally doing the family stuff that I hate. It’s been a few weeks of half-measures and I need a lot of

mc13 are you going to travel somewhere cool for your summit? No, it’s all virtual…which actually makes it more work and less fun. 😂

Coffee with vanilla coffee creamer and work. I can make 2 phone calls in a day before I reach my personal limit and I need to make 4 phone calls, so I'm trying to figure out which 2 phone calls to make today and which 2 can wait until tomorrow

Guys, I’m so overwhelmed with what we need to pack.
Our contractor is coming back with a budget and a timeline for some the lumber. Since we are adding a second floor, we need some bigger pieces for supports. Which are expensive and back ordered. Our contractor is going to wait until he has those delivered before he starts pulling the roof off.
We will be out of the house for 4 months.
My anxiety is at a 9 right now.
On a good note, our bonuses this year are the highest they have ever been.

On a good note, our bonuses this year are the highest they have ever been. That sounds very stressful. When we briefly looked into adding a second story we were told we'd need to move out for 6 to 9 months, and I just couldn't wrap my head around that!

I'm on my 3rd cup of black coffee. We have "team building" meetings all day. I hate them all. I am so annoyed.
I had to drag my kids all out of bed this morning but once we got moving it was fine.

I am so tired today. We were out late Saturday night, so I’m behind on sleep, and DST has hit me like a ton of bricks. Nothing big this week.
M has a half day on Wednesday, so I’m working from home. After that she’s off until April 5. She will mostly just be hanging out at home while J works, but I took the last week of the month off. We will be spending a couple of days at the beach with my mom’s girlfriends, then J is meeting us out there and we’ll camp for the weekend. I’m really hoping we have some good weather.
I had coffee with half and half this morning. Suddenly I’m fine drinking my coffee unsweetened, as long as it’s not crazy strong.

We were all SO TIRED this morning. Even the girls were dragging.
I had coffee, per usual, and got in a good workout and short walk with the dog. R has soccer tonight and A has swimming.
I'm going to bed early tonight

Ugh. Hiring. One of my superstar employees is having some physical difficulties that are being exacerbated by her job. She has said that she is not sure if she will leave, but has started looking for other jobs and asked if I would be a reference. I just got a text from a friend that we produce for saying that my employee applied to her job listing. My friend has had SO MANY hiring difficulties and I want her to have all the employees. I just don't want her to have *my* employee. I mean, I'll give a good reference. It's good karma and all that, but ugh.

Guys I got Dunkin coffee Mon afternoon (super rare) and after I drank the whole thing I noticed it said “cold brew” and not decaf.
I had specifically asked if they had decaf cold brew and when they said no (duh, but I’m allowed to wish) I ordered iced decaf with milk and one sugar.
They definitely gave me cold brew because it is now 3:15am and I am still wide awake although my body feels so tired. I’ve taken two showers and read about 40 pages of my book and I’m just so pissed.

Ugh ovenrack. That is awful. I keep hearing anecdotal stories about baristas switching out coffee orders and it makes me twitchy from a food safety/allergen standpoint.

Ugh ovenrack. That is awful. I keep hearing anecdotal stories about baristas switching out coffee orders and it makes me twitchy from a food safety/allergen standpoint. We have in our Girl Scout troop: 1 nut allergy 1 gluten allergy 1 dairy intolerance (down graded from allergy by a doctor) 1 can’t have caffeine It has definitely given me more respect for allergies. And all the girls are pretty good and know what they can eat. But it makes me twitchy every time the girls are handed food/drink on field trips and tours. I have to constantly be on guard to ask the questions, because we have 21 girls and it’s easy to get distracted. Even with 4 adults.

DST has got me so out of whack. We had a busy weekend, M turned 5 and we had a party for her Sunday that went swimmingly well. We had a heated tent with windows so could see the kids running around on the playground outside. And food and cake and beer. Best.
Baseball starts this week and spring weather is finally here. We cleaned out the garage yesterday and it's so delightful to walk through now. And we finally bought a set of kayaks! We have a launch in our neighborhood so it's been on our list to do for a year now. Hoping to take them out tomorrow for an inaugural ride.

I’m packing my 3rd big bin.
I don’t expect to hear from our contractor for a week or so to determine dates.
The kids keep getting mildly annoyed at me packing toys or listing things.

sarenu where will you be living while your house is under construction? Depends on the timing. If it’s summer we are moving in with my FIL. Before school ends we might hotel it, then move in with FIL. Midsummer, we will move in with FIL and look for options for when the kids start school. We are going to get a big Pod for our stuff, send plants to a friends, and store the rest at FIL. Some will be packed in the garage, living room, and basement. But we won’t have a lot of untouched space. I’ve got permission to remote work if needed (I can drive in as needed) and my husband has a coworkers house he can crash at during the 3 days he needs to be in-person. The main issue is initial start date. I may see about clearing out the garage so we can store it as it’s delivered so it isn’t sitting in the yard (we have a long narrow garage right now).

Also because there will be a lot of dust, I want everything under a tarp, in boxes, and mattresses wrapped/bagged.
The roof will be completely removed. If anything gets destroyed I won’t care. We will take anything out of the house we care not to be damaged/stolen.
