Help me figure out what to do for overnight please. I’ve been doing sposies with a wool cover. He must gush and the sposie can’t handle it. He is almost always wet up his side or back, whichever way he is laying when it happens. He has actually done this since birth. I’m tired of middle of the night clothing changes. He takes a bottle before bed and sometimes once during the night (most nights actually). He is 11 months old. I have on hand: Workhorses, PUL covers, bamboo flats, hemp inserts and I think I have a couple sloomb fitteds I’d have to find.
I’m definitely open to purchasing others if it will help.

Have you tried sizing up on your overnight disposable? I had good luck with that and a PUL cover over for my heavy wetter.

Have you tried sizing up on your overnight disposable? I had good luck with that and a PUL cover over for my heavy wetter. I haven’t sized up yet but, I’m willing to give it a shot. He’s in size 3 now and the tabs are still pretty close together. I didn’t know if the 4s would be too big. He’s probably around 20 lbs or more.

I would definitely size up if you're open to using disposables at night. At one point (I think he was like 6 months) I had the baby in size 2s during the day and 4s at night. I've also had success with pocket covers over disposables at night with my oldest. I gave up on cloth for overnights early on.

I would have said bamboo flat inside a workhorse with a wool cover. Have you considered cutting the overnight bottle at 12 months? (She said in an absolutely non-judgmental way.)

There's a good bit of overlap on the tabs but we don't get leaks!

I would love to cut out the overnight bottle. He already sleeps like crap and normally, I get a good 3-4 hour stretch out of him after the bottle. Right now, momma needs her sleep. I am seriously thinking of ways to get rid of that feeding. I don’t want to be warming a bottle in the middle of the night when I switch him from formula to milk. I do like the flat in the workhorse idea. I’m going to try out all these suggestions.

I do like the flat in the workhorse idea. I’m going to try out all these suggestions. Like I said, totally non judgmental. And to be transparent, I am far enough removed from babies that I don’t even remember when we quit overnight feeds. But I do remember that one suggestion we used to make back then was to start diluting that bottle until it is nothing but water. And they typically start to drop it on their own since it isn’t filling their bellies anymore, or you can toss a water sippy into their bed with them. But that is of course assuming they aren’t counting on those calories, for example if they don’t eat enough, or if you work and so they nurse more at night and skip some bottles during the day. Anywho. Totally off topic and unsolicited. Sorry. Just thought it might help with the leaking if he didn’t take the overnight feed. Hugs. Bad sleep is so hard.
