What is awesome to have for kitchen cabinets?
What do you hate?
I really like the spice drawers and requested drawers for my lower cabinets.
Does anyone have a solution for corner cabinets?
I will have a double oven next to our fridge so no pullouts for spices.
Cookie sheet storage?
I won’t have a pantry, but we will have an extra storage closet that will be under our new stairs.

Will you have a drawer under the oven? If not, I like a skinny vertical cabinet for cookie sheets.
For corner cabinets I like a built-in lazy Susan.

Some of my favorite things: Spices over the stove (both sides): Large drawers under stove for pots and pans: Tall skinny cabinet with dividers for cookie sheets.

We have almost all drawers on the lowers. It’s amazing for all my pots and Tupperware and baking supplies. Our corner is a lazy Susan and it’s annoying. Not sure what else would work there though. It’s just so deep and the folding door just gets slammed by the kids all the time.
I do enjoy my tall cabinet for baking sheets/cooling racks and also having my trash/recycling cans in a drawer next to the sink.
We just have an upper shelf for the microwave but I wish we built it in. It would look so much nicer that way.

Drawers, drawers, and more drawers. We store our cookie sheets in a drawer under the wall ovens. My parents' used to have lazy susans in their 2 corner cabinets but always hated them, so instead pulled them out and just built shelves in the corners with two doors that made an L shape. Much much easier to utilize, so much more space.

I would love a tall cabinet with dividers for baking sheets, cutting boards, cooling racks, etc. Also, are you working with a kitchen designer? My dream is to let someone else solve all my storage problems for me.

Def a skinny cabinet for cookie sheets & cutting boards. We just got a metal divider/organizer that fits in the cabinet and use that to organize all the sheets/boards.
Also, I love my pull out trash and recycling bins.
I wish we had one of those lifts for the electric mixer. I use it pretty frequently and hate hoisting it up and down every time.

My dream is to let someone else solve all my storage problems for me. Architect is going to tell the contractor the cabinet sizes. But I can give him suggestions on what I want and he will work it in the design. This was my one concern as well.

I saw one and I was not impressed. It seemed like a lot more work.

Someone here had a kitchen redesign and had an appliance cabinet made. I don’t remember the details, but I envision such a cabinet being a permanent spot for mixers, blenders, food processors, etc to live and be used, but then close the doors and keep the counter space. It seems so lovely.

It seems so lovely. I really wish we had the room for this, but our larger electric appliances will probably end up down the hall in a storage area. We have a space where our stairs are being added (up and moving the down stairs to make them to code). It will probably turn into a project after or during to maximize the storage there for extra pantry items (currently stored in the basement), vacuum, and small appliances that aren’t used regularly. I’m hoping to place the mixer on my coffee/ buffet.

1 drawers under the cook top 2. Vertical storage for cutting boards 3. Drawer under the oven for cookie sheets (maybe) 4. Spice drawers (my preference)
I don’t think we have cabinets above our cook top (space constraints again, and there are windows there for light).
