We survived the first month of 2022! How is everyoneโs Feb starting out? Do you celebrate Valentines with your SO? Do you give valentines to the kids? Still avoiding Covid I hope?

I went to a chiro to work on my neck that was tensed up when we got hit. Turns out she lives in my neighborhood. So I looked her up on FB and when I clicked her profile pic to enlarge it, it was one of those story photos so you can see who views it. So I definitely look like a creepy stalker now. I had to go back for a 2nd session afterwards. ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ

Happy Valentineโs Day O17!
I hope that everyone is having a good February, and that all of you get some sweet treats and Valentineโs with your littles today ๐๐
Valentineโs Day is definitely celebrated here, but not so much in school for kids (with Valentineโs cards and little candy hearts - they donโt do that). Itโs more of a holiday for adults and massive group marriages (like 300 couples getting married at a time). That said, our kids brought little Valentineโs Day cards with these magic stickers to their classrooms, and all of their classmates/teachers loved them!
Anyone have any plans today? Not much happening over here - we ordered sushi for dinner, which everyone is excited about ๐

curmudgeon Oh man, thatโs really a shame you are having lingering effects from the accident. What did you guys decide to do in terms of getting a new car? Did you find something? I hope that your neck gets better soon, and hey - itโs good that you found someone in your neighborhood! Iโm sure she doesnโt mind you looked her up. I hope these appointments straighten you out - ugh, what a pain.

Happy Valentineโs Day Taitai! No plans here. H will be leaving this afternoon to go out of town so it will just be me and the boys. I cut DS1โs lunch meat and strawberries into hearts for his lunch and both will have class parties. My neck is recovered. I think it was just tension and stiffness and after some heat and painful massages itโs good as new. We are living the 1 car family life as long as possible. Cars are so ridiculous right now and lot inventory is almost nonexistent. I hardly ever drive anywhere besides quick errands so we are fine for a bit. I borrowed MILโs car while H is gone so we are making it work.

Hello everyone. I have been MIA for several months. There has been so much going on - nothing terrible - we're all healthy and doing fine. Just life stuff. I appreciate the tags from a while back Taitai. I hope everyone is doing well!

Hey CoachTsWife - great to see you back! I feel like weโre in this phase of things kind of adjusting back to โnormal times,โ which is giving that feeling that time is getting away from me. At least I think thatโs the cause. Hope you and your boys are doing well! Anyone planning any trips this summer, now that things will hopefully be in a more โendemicโ stage of the pandemic by then?

Vacations- we are using my cousins lake house over spring break. But the water will be too cold to swim so Iโm trying to figure out things to do.
September we are going to Disneyworld and Iโm so excited! DS2 is going to love it so much.
Over the actual summer, no trips planned. But now Iโm thinking of doing another lake house trip so we can actually get in the water.
My parentsโ 50th anniversary is in July and im in charge of planning some sort of event. They donโt want a big party so Iโm thinking a fancy dinner for the extended family. And I really want to get photos done with my parents and brother. Weโve never done a big grandparents/kids/grandkids picture.

We don't have any vacations planned - I have a new job and it is a contract job meaning I have no real time off. I think we might plan some long weekend trips, but nothing major. We took a 2 week vacation last summer, so we're ok on smaller-scale outings this year -- IF we can convince DS1 of the same. haha curmudgeon my siblings and I gave my mom a photo session for Christmas and are planning on doing a big group photo session. We were actually going to do photos on Christmas Eve when we were all together, but my niece's husband was ill so they didn't come. So we've postponed it until the Spring. The hardest part is figuring out when everyone can get together for the session!

And also Iโd like to lose a little weight before then ๐ My brother and his wife are both teachers so Iโm hoping sometime in June we can do it, and get a print done Iโm time to display at whatever party type happens.

A family photo gift is a great idea! We havenโt really been able to do that for our family yet, and I would love to do it sometime this summer when we are back visiting in the USA. You all have inspired me to get planning on that! I think my mom would absolutely love it. Would be a nice way to celebrate getting through the pandemic too!
We were supposed to go to the beach last week, during a school mid-term break, but we had to cancel it last minute due to me being unable to get away. So bummed. Weโre hoping to go to Scandinavia in April to do some skiing, visit Santa, and take in some activities in the arctic circle. Now that international travel is FINALLY normalizing, we are excited to go somewhere different. Fingers crossed there are no lockdowns or new restrictions put in place between now and then!
