Hey everyone! I'm hoping that the seat I'm pulling up over here is a sticky one.
A little background (full of TWs):
MH and I went through 5 IUIs, one failed IVF (got eggs, fertilized, nothing grew, so no transfer), and one successful Czech donor egg cycle to get pregnant with our twin girls in February of last year. At our anatomy scan, we found out baby B had several severe abnormalities (encephalocele, microcephaly, shifted midline of brain, almost nonexistent prefront cortex and cerebellum, huge cleft lip/palate that meant she couldn't regulate her sac). She was very likely not going to survive the pregnancy/delivery, and if she did, she was going to be a vegetable even with many surgeries. She was also posing a risk to our healthy baby A. We had a TFMR at 22 weeks (in June). In September, I delivered both girls after three weeks of hospital bed rest for high BP.
*end of TWs*
Since we had to use donor eggs for the first pregnancy, we assumed that I couldn't get pregnant. We were told my eggs were bad, and with all the trying naturally and complete failures of fertility treatments, we figured that was really the case. I hadn't gone back on BC and was trying to just be careful. Well, we weren't careful ONE time last month, and here I am.
I took a test on 7/8 to shut my brain up (my period was due, that was the only thing, no symptoms). It was positive, not even a squinter. My betas have looked good and I keep peeing on all the sticks. The last one (on Tuesday night) had a test line darker than the control line. So I guess this little bean is burrowing in (or I hope it is!). We go in for our first u/s on 7/28, so I'm on pins and needles.
