For the past few morning my oldest has been yelling/begging me not to pump. The other day she was to the point of tears. I only pump once a day. So far I have been ignoring her, but I am assuming I should probably be handling this a different way. She has no issues with me nursing and does not show any resentment towards the baby. Am I over thinking this? It's just so out of character for her.

How old is she? Can she tell you why she doesn't want you to pump? The noise of the machine, time away from her, did something happen and you were preoccupied because you were pumping? My 2 year old doesn't really like it when I pump because I can't be as mobile to play with him. (It doesn't help that the LC is having me pump after every nursing session right now.) He loves playing with my pump when I'm done though.

I normally pump at the table while they are eating breakfast so I am right there talking/interacting during pumping. Tomorrow Dh is home so I will see how she reacts. We're giving her the BM.l and lately has started refusing it. We currently mix it with WM. So is she really that smart to connect it all together?

She knows how it works. She used to 'help' put it together and 'assist' me with both of her siblings. Maybe it's the lack of attention. We'll she how she is tomorrow with Dh home.
