M learned the word penis today. A little late but she lives in an all girl family so...
I described it as "you know that little thing like a tail that boys have?"
She totally knew (open bathrooms at preschool) and seemed happy to have a word for it.

C can push my buttons more than M ever could. I think that it's because I expect her to be the "easy" kid and get thrown when she's not. That is horribly unfair to her. I need to keep that in check.

I really struggle with this with my C. I think I expect too much of her because she's the oldest, so it really throws me when she decides to be uncooperative. I need to work on my interactions with her and make a point to give her more positive feedback.

She's always been so well spoken and polite with adults and so I think I just have really high expectations, and often forget that she just turned 5 and she's still a little girl

She's always been so well spoken and polite with adults and so I think I just have really high expectations, and often forget that she just turned 5 and she's still a little girl Honestly I think this is all parents, especially with intelligent or mature kids -- I certainly fall into this trap and have to constantly remind myself that E is not even 8 yet.
