I don't bathe my kids enough. I say every we do it every other day but more often an extra day sneaks in there.

rebeccabunch, my almost 2yo gets a bath once a week. He honestly hates being dirty right now, so unless we do something like put suntan lotion on that day or something, our standard is once a week right now. We did it that way as a newborn because he had super dry skin and baths made it worse, then just never really did more. Though this past week, for the first time we did a bath in the big tub instead of the baby tub and gave him a new toy - foam letters and numbers that stick to the walls of the tub. He is obsessed and keeps asking for baths now, lol.

I took a nap from 2-4 yesterday and then proceeded to watch tv in the same spot on my bed until bedtime yesterday.
FWIW: I slept like shit so I doubt I'll be doing that again anytime soon. It was nice while it lasted yesterday though.

cythe, take advantage of all the sleep and rest now! Once bubs shows up...sleep and rest will be elusive, non-existent and bwahaha to ever sleeping in ever again. I swear all our pregnancy ailments tied to not enough sleep/rest is natures way of prepping us when bubs arrives.

The tot gets a bath every night no matter what. He gets so sweaty running around all day. When he starts preschool in a month, no way he's not getting a bath every night. I also have a thing about getting into bed feeling clean. Summers I usually shower morning and evenings after I get home from work. Now that I'm sweating like a pig at night, I feel even more gross and need to shower when I wake up.

Last week at my midwife appointment, I was peeing in a specimen cup to collect a sample so I could use the stick thing to test for protein in. I peed in the cup and then when I was lifting it out I knocked it on my leg and it spilled on my bare leg and my pants.
I had to go to work after and didn't have time to change my pants so I just used a lot of water on a paper towel just to mop it up and went on with my day.

I got off work at lunch today and instead of going straight home to get DD from MIL, I'm getting a pedicure and running a few other errands.

I've never taken DS for professional photos. I thought about it when he was NB, but decided against it. I love the look of them, but I'm just not willing to pay for them. I do have at least 1 billion cell phone pics though, lol I don't plan on doing professional photos for this LO either.

FFFC #2 I've eaten half a can of Pringles in the time DS has been napping, and I'm 87% sure that I'll finish the whole thing before he wakes up. Also, FFFC #3, I'm dipping them in ketchup. It is delicious.

I'd love to capture her being that small, but oh my.

Hubs would also balk at the cost and he's through and through a typical Caucasian boy. 🤣 I also don't like putting pics of us in frames to display around the house.

To be clear - I have 0 judgement for those who spend big bucks on whatever people spend lots of money on. We all have our thing and however you spend your money is of 0 consequence to me!

I won't tell anyone (except DH) when baby is wiggling. Even if they ask specifically. Do not want people trying to touch my belly.

Even if I had gobs of benjamins I personally don't see a need to hire a prof photographer. Heck I didn't even bother with one at our wedding reception which again wasn't your typical "wedding". I guess I'm not the conventional type. 😛

rebeccabunch, our bath schedule is pretty similar. Bathing too much irritates DS's eczema, so I don't feel too bad about it. thatgirlrachel, i would do the exact same thing. RE: pictures- our good friend that is a photographer as a hobby took our newborn pics. We gave her a $100 gift certificate to a restaurant she likes. Pics were affordable and great, will probably do it again this time. I've contemplated getting more professional photos a few times, but it just doesn't work with my budget. I also have about a million pics on my phone, many of pretty good quality so I usually print the ones I like at CVS. I took our Christmas card pics in 5 minutes on my phone and made my favorite card ever. My FFFC (a day late): I don't mind the glucose drink and it doesn't make me feel crappy after. And I kind of like having an excuse to sit around and read a book by myself for an hour. I would never drink the drink by choice, and I certainly get nervous waiting for the results, but overall, the 1 hour GTT doesn't bother me. But the 3 hour would be a whole different story and I understand why others do not like the 1 hour.

Oh man, when I was like 36 weeks pregnant with DD1 we were at a family function and DH put his hand on my belly. MIL asked if the baby was moving, I said no (she really wasnt), and she said something like "oh, I haven't felt the baby yet!" I don't remember what I mumbled in response, but wanted to say "...and you're not going to!"

blackmamba I'm right with you on the 1h GTT. The drink is not that bad! I roll my eyes a little when people complain that it is sooooooo gross. I mean, if you just don't like orange (or I guess fruit punch) flavour then I get it -- like I would dread if the drink was, say, pineapple -- but it's just like liquid candy. Down the hatch.

Shower in morning and then a quick rinse off at night before bed. Also, DS absolutely gets a bath every night, because it's so hot here and he neeeeeeds it. Our nanny was somewhat horrified that we only give DS one bath a day. She said Thai babies/toddlers get at least 2 baths a day! I'm like...'ain't nobody got time for that! Also - now I cannot STAND it when I see people wear shoes inside homes. Like, it freaks me the eff out and I start getting anxious....I can barely keep my mouth shut when I see my brother and his family wear their shoes inside their home. We've turned Southeast Asian a bit I think 😅

My dad wears shoes in his house, and DH's socks, and the bottoms of mine and DS's feet got so gross from his carpet that looked clean.

Taitai, When in Rome, do what the Romans do When I was a baby/tot, I got bathed 2x a day too! I remember I would get an orange as a treat after my baths! When I go home to visit, I'd take baths 3x during the day cos I cant deal with all the humidity and sweat! and also my parents home has no AC. I grew up with no AC. I also lived in NYC apts. without AC lol! I refused to get a unit cos I hated moving stuff. Interestingly hubs also did not wear shoes in the house and is more of a nazi about it than me - we also have off white W2W carpeting which is such a pain and hoping to rip it out after we get our basement done so we can move down there whilst that happens upstairs along with all the other things that needs to be renoed. Fun times ahead!
