We haven't had one of these in awhile and I have a couple. I realize it is Thursday, for a few more hours but let's get a head start.

I just used a calculator to figure out my age because I honestly couldn't remember and math is hard. I'm 35. I thought I had turned 36 but apparently I have not.

On behalf of MH, we believe he has been driving around with dog poop (in a poop bag) in his car since Thanksgiving, when the oldest dog had to go to the vet and I took a stool sample just in case, that wasn't needed. I *swear* we had a discussion about it when I got home and asked him to grab it and throw it away but he said we didn't and he never saw it until he looked under his seat for something yesterday. How in the world he did not smell it is beyond me. Since Thanksgiving! Nearing 2 months now. I screamed when he told me, he thought I put it in there a couple days ago when he discovered it (why would I ever do that when his car is parked 20 feet from the garbage bin?!?! What kind of monster does he think I am?!).
So that's disgusting.

Speaking of dog poo, W came over to me yesterday smelling very strongly of it. I have no idea whether she was just playing with it or attempting to eat it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

milano, have I ever told the story about my college friend who reached into her purse and realized that she had bought a frozen mouse at the pet store for her lizard, put it in her purse and then forgotten about it? 2 weeks prior to making that realization?

I was picking up poop in the back yard today and the snow was kind of icy on top and I had to crack the surface to get to it. Any way, the bag slipped and I plunged my pinky finger right into a pile of dog shit.

Any way, the bag slipped and I plunged my pinky finger right into a pile of dog shit. The worst! This happened to me on a walk once, and I was far away from my house so had to make due until I could get home to wash my hands. I now have hand sanitizer in almost all my coats and also the dog's backpack LOL

There’s no school tomorrow, planned teacher work day, and we’re due for a good snow fall. All the schools in the area that were scheduled to have school are closed for a snow day. All my inner child can think is “what a waste of a good snow storm.” Wait, how is a snow day during a storm a waste to a child?

I just used a calculator to figure out my age because I honestly couldn't remember and math is hard. I'm 35. I thought I had turned 36 but apparently I have not. I confidently referred to myself offhand as being 29 the other day when speaking to MH. He just stared at me and said.. “you know that’s not how old you are, right?”

Wait, how is a snow day during a storm a waste to a child? Tomorrow is not a snow day for Pip. It is a scheduled day off. Ahhhh I get it. Well, enjoy the snow! If you like snow.

I’m glad my birth year is a zero at the end. No real math needed. But some how my husband messed it up one year.

I like winter dog poop picking up. Its easy to see in the dark. It freezes instantly.
Fall poop is very hard to find among leaves.

This feels like a confession: we have no pets and no intention of ever getting one. I shudder at a lot of the pet stories I read on here 😅

We have dog poop, cat poop, and DS2’s overnight diapers in there. It’s a nightmare in the summer.. my garage is smells so much better when the temps are around freezing.

Kids want a dog, I see so many dogs not behaving well on walks, plus the idea of constantly picking up poop. And I know I will be the one to schedule appointments, clean them, and deal with the poop and walking. Nope. I have 3 children.

I like to think my pets will die off (no offense, pets!) around the time my kids move out. Then I can be a free bird and travel. Or just take care of nobody but myself.

Our cat would be nearly 20 by the time R goes to college and Francis will be 15. Perfect timing to be pet free for a bit and leave whenever I want.

That's kind of where we're at, too. Loren will prob be around another 8 years or so, which puts the girls well into highschool. We definitely plan to wait on another dog, and take the opportunity to travel further and for longer periods of time with the girls.

I would love to have cats, dogs, or chickens but know I don't have the energy to provide that level care for another living thing. Before anyone @ me, yes, it'd all fall on me. We will eventually get another betta fish because I'm not heartless, just old and tired.

I like pets, but I'm over having an old dog. I know it's part of the cycle, but like the constant incontinence and he's got arthritis that flares up which makes him howl in the middle of the night randomly, and his skin is horrible so I'm constantly cutting wet mats out of his fur because he bites at it, and.... Our dog is currently the oldest dog I've ever had and I'm honestly just waiting for him to get to the point where it's obvious it's time.

With my two it was a constant battle in my mind of am I just throwing money at them because I can’t stand the idea of putting them down even if they are in so much pain or is this just normal old age stuff?
It’s so hard when they cant tell you if they are suffering.
I love animals, would take care of them if asked, will volunteer for a pet shelter as soon as things calm down, but I cant take that emotional roller coaster again.

I do not think those fancy messy milkshakes look delicious. All I can think about are how sticky my hands and face will be after trying to eat it. They're usually served in a restaurant too and then I feel bad for the server, busboy, and dishwasher who have to deal with that mess. No thanks! I know I'm a fun-sucker, but sometimes you have to be practical. Example: This is perhaps an opinion, not a confession.
