What's in your cup? On your plate? On your schedule?

It's snowing, so school and basically everything else in town is cancelled for today. We're going to venture outside to play shortly.
J was up in the middle of the night, vomiting, so I'm playing the "is it covid or a stomach bug or consequences from eating 8 day old pizza" game (to be clear, I'm not responsible for him eating the old pizza). He seems fine now and ate oatmeal this morning so I'm hoping he's on the mend now, no other symptoms.

Kids are all back in school today and I am back at work for the first day since December 9. I am moving slooooooooowly. At least I put dinner in the crockpot.

Coffee with peppermint mocha oat milk creamer.
I have not been sleeping well so I was snoozing when c decided I should take a vitamin and woke me this morning.
Vacation day here for everyone. We were supposed to get 7-9 inches of snow and got about 3.
Older 2 are going to a roller rink today. I will be keeping F home since she has a cough.
I need to finish putting the last tree away and take down garland.
Cleaning the living room and sheets are on my list.

Our first attempt at schoolwork in two weeks went really well. The kids have done almost everything on their list. I just have to read out loud our science chapter for the day. I hurt my toe when I jumped down after putting the blinds down this morning, so I've been limping around. I hope it's better by tomorrow. I'm so happy I only teach two days a week in a school and neither of those days is Monday. I love not having to deal with the first day back. I found some great new resources over the break and I'm actually not dreading my general music classes for tomorrow.
I think I've had 5 coffees so far, but two of them were cafe mocha type things, so I'm not sure if they were full caffeine or not. Either way - self medicating away the ADHD FTW!
Our tree will stay up until Epiphany, or until I get around to taking it down, but Epiphany gives me an excuse to not get around to it for a little while longer.

I have today off work. I’m almost done prepping all of my freezer meals/soups.
I have anxiety about returning to work tomorrow.

What I thought was going to be a chill day digging out from email got flipped when school called and I had to go pick up J who has a migraine. At least he is sleeping now but he usually wakes up pretty rough.

Drip coffee with vanilla creamer. I'd like a peppermint mocha, but don't want to go out to get it (this has been my refrain for the last few days lol). It snowed here overnight, and then got cold. I'd like to bring the kids out, but they're so wimpy about the cold =/ Instead we finally got around to doing the gingerbread house kit that hubby brought home the other day. I had to put W on my back because she was trying to knock things over, but F was super into it, and once I showed him he could stick things with the icing he got very intricate with his designs (for a 3 year old, that is). It made me a little twitchy but trying to not be "that mom" ^^; I really should be working, since it's end of month, but I haven't been sent any work yet, so I'm a little grumpy because that means the next 4 days I'm going to have to work my tushy off to get it done, ugh. Trying to make the most of today.

School just called for tomorrow too! 🙌 It's been snowing for 9 straight hours now. This never happens here, we have at least 7 inches. I was very excited for the first 2 hours but am totally over it now. Taking 3 dogs out for bathroom breaks in this weather is my personal hell.

I’m on my third cup of coffee. School is delayed “2 weeks” and gathering limits are being implemented so our forest school and co-op are as well. Heavy sigh. I’m already feeling antsy.
J is back at work today for the first time in 2 weeks and it has been a day.

We got an update from our school (today was the last day of break). Due to the surge in omicron, masks…… …. Still aren’t required. It’s “personal choice”. What on earth was the point of that useless update other than to depress me.

Our kids don't go back to school until Wed which is good because A is still dealing with a cold. And I have a scratchy throat, too, but I'm trying to pretend it's fine. (We've all done rapid tests. It's just a stupid cold)
Tea and extra vitamins for me.

But mh started complaining of being achey and fatigued, which is a big downturn from where he improving 2 days ago. Guess he’s off for another test. 🙇🏼♀️🙇🏼♀️🙇🏼♀️ Why do we ALWAYS have to live the same lives? Hope you feel better soon.

I’m taking F in for a rapid PCR on Monday she has had a bad cough for the past few days. Crossing my fingers we can get in. I don’t want to spread this at her daycare. Meant Tuesday. Today is not Monday.
