Hey all! I'm back. Do y'all want a recap or should I keep it in this thread and not clutter your lives. LMK. Betweenthelines,I don't know why you need to rock this weekend, but I bet my (newly plumped due to squat challenge) ass you will. RunsforWineandCarbs, week long meetings or "retreats" are the worst. fierymama, no. I remain in denial that birthdays are coming up. Nope nope nope to birthdays. Pizzaslut, good luck layloo- that's great news about your mama! 45thparallel, ditto what others said. He's 2, this is normal behavior. I find it odd that they teacher doesn;t have the tools to cope with normal 2 year old behavior. My kid is huge, but that doesn't mean he's 6. It means his maturity is 4, because HE IS 4. taketheshot, jedi, skinandbones, heeeelllo!

I want nachos. I really want to run across the street to get some from Sheetz. ::debate between Sheetz and WaWa ensues:: I can't debate because of those two, I only know of Sheetz food. I've never stepped into a WaWa. Wawa for lyfe yo! (says the lady who never heard of a sheetz until this place.)

45thparallel, i like beating dead horses. tell that lady to stfu. JK. kind of. kid's not even 2 - no way should she compare the way he acts and reacts to that of 3+ yo's. that's just ridiculous. Disclaimer: i really don't beat dead horses. I'm just super late to the conversation. Plusalso, post count.

Next week will be nuts, I'm hopeful the weekend will get me back together.

Allo! Doing laundry and packing up the car to head to PA. My brother's wedding is this weekend, hopefully it'll be fun? Confession: I wouldn't say I dislike his fiancé...but I don't like her either. Truthfully she doesn't seem to have much of a personality. It's incredibly hard to talk to her and I'm not sure what she does with her time besides get her nails done...but he's happy so I'm sucking it up and am happy for him. They've been together for 7 years now I think. I just wish I was more excited, you know? Anywho, DS is spending the week with my parents and they'll bring him back next weekend. He's SO flipping excited. Lots to do before we leave! I admire my sil cuz she runs her house like a boss, but i dont like to converse with her there is just no connection. They have been married like 25 years. I am going to be sharing a cottage with her in 2 weeks, that should be fun. By fun i mean totally fucking awkward.

My nerves are so fucking frazzled from trying to implement the potty training bootcamp. He is napping right now i think i need to tweek the method so that is not so insanse, making a 23mo run back & forth and pull his pants up and down 10 times in a row is insanity(we only did 3 or 4 "drills" instead of 10), also felt like ocd goose, "are your pants dry, touch your pants, where do you go pee pee?" Shoving treats at him, egads. When he wakes up we are going outside and he can wet his training pants and wear wet pants until it bothers him and then we can talk about the potty some more. But i am not happy right now, i feel like a clutz and a boob and maybe if i had done my part better he would have caught on quicker. Also not happy with dh for not leaving until well after 9 when i told him no distractions. We didnt get started till 930 and N had been up since 630.

I've got two sets of people that haven't RSVP'd for K's party next week. I'm trying to decide if I should send a text just asking or let it go. I haven't finished getting favors together and I don't want to under buy if we have other kids, but I don't want to get too much either.

45thparallel - I don't think it is fair that just because your DS plays and talks with the older kids, she expects him to also have the mental age of them in terms of listening/following directions/acting like a 2 year old. Just because he enjoys spending his time with the older kids doesn't mean that he is ready to listen as well as they do. My 2 year old has been wanting to run and not listen at home a lot lately. I'm not sure if it is the same at daycare, but to me, it's an age thing and not a "I hang out with the big kids" thing. I'm sorry that they expect you to change it overnight or say it is your parenting. WSS

I was chatting with my friend about my insurance issue and she suggested filing a compliant with the attorney general with the state. So I'll be doing that this weekend.

Today has been a great day. We moved offices. Now I commute 2 hours less per day. Because we were moving I got to where athleisure to work. Also got a damn good workout all morning moving. then the bosses bought us lunch for moving. So all around wins!
Now I have a private office (I was out in the open before) and I can decorate the space around me and YAY. Friday to the max.

I cut out of work an hour early so I could run to BJ's before I get the kids, which eliminates me having to wait until after the kids are in bed to go later.

Hi ladies! I'm in my own little self absorbed world right now so I apologize for not really posting to anyone else but I'm reading and trying to keep up! We saw MFM today. Scan showed no abdominal wall defect but there is a cystic hygroma. This could mean chromosomal abnormalities or heart defects or other stuff. We decided to not do the CVS but I did get blood drawn for NIPT. We will get those results back within the window we could decide to do CVS if something concerning shows up from NIPT. Still in sleep/nap strike hell over here so I'm exhausted but we are chugging along.

I'm frazzled thinking about all of you that are potty training. I'm good right now, thanks. Yep. Me too. I'm not sure what the rush is, unless the child in question is showing serious signs I'm for waiting until they are ready. We talked about this in my early childhood class and how so many parents feel pressure and do it to soon which causes unnecessary stress for parents And the child. They said on average it's 2.5 (and up) for girls and 3 (and up) for boys. Obviously with it being an average you can have super early or super late ones

easternshoregirl, I'm glad the abdominal wall was good! I'm sure it's a lot to take in, and I'm thinking about you! jedi I can't get it going to PT. I just can't be bothered until I'm 95% sure it will work and in a reasonable amount of time.

DS was showing major PTing readiness and was going on the potty around 6 times a day... For a few weeks. Now he's back to not caring at all so we are done trying for now.
We're getting ready to move DS into his big bed and into DDs room. I'm majorly dreading it.
Spending money like I've got it over here, spoiler: I do not got it. Financial stress is in full effect.
Osh Kosh is having a great deal on jeans if anyone wants to stock up! I love their jeans for DS, they fit well and hold up to serious toddlering. Right now they're $8-$10 a pair. Extra 20% off if you spend $50+.
