I really only have gift cards to purchase. The plan today is homework, cleaning, and laundry.
L needs to do some reading and I hope E will help clean her room.

I'll go to Freddy's with my mom for socks and gloves.
I need to see if a computer I'm eyeing for Cass is on sale at Costco. That's about it for shopping.
I'll probably visit my grandma today.
We saw the new Ghostbusters last night and it was really good.

Important question; I’m picking up 5 bouquets today for DS’s hockey team (the seniors give them to their moms). They are ordered from a florist. Do I tip them? I know you tip for delivery but what about pick up?

kim22 I dont think thats something that calls for a tip. You paid them for their service. But it has been a long time since I've been to a florist so I may not be the best person to take advice from!

I just helped my parents book a cruise for them, us, and my brothers family for July to Bermuda. There were good deals for Black Friday, although my parents are treating.
I have a tv I’m looking at but waiting to see if it goes lower on Cyber Monday. Im still in the fence about upgrading just because of the cost but our tv is a bit old and it would be nice to have a smart tv.

wineallthetime I’d just get $5-10 Starbucks gift cards or something like that & let your kid draw/make the card for it.

We’re driving back home. There was a bunch of construction that slowed us down in OK so it’s definitely going to take us longer to get home. We just ate lunch and I’m hoping the kids will nap.

Hi ladies. We’re back in lockdown, but schools are staying open, because the impact for kids would be too devastating. I’m relieved and scared at the same time.
Dd2 sleep was already bad, but is now even worse (apparently that was possible 😓) I’ve slept a total of three hours last night 🤦🏼♀️. This girl is seriously giving us a run for our money.
I’m trying to change my mindset. My normal modus is try and do everything perfect. I feel like I’m failing on all fronts, I’m not the best employee, not the best wife, my house is a mess, I snap at the kids a lot faster and I can’t be the best home scholing mom. So I’m trying to lower my bar, especially when it comes to homeschooling. I’m going to do my best and that should be enough.
ETA I should ask that my h seriously does a lot too, gives me tons of slack and tries to let me have some time for just me.

nam2013 would you consider even just one formula bottle a night so you can sleep a good chunk each night? It’s impossible to feel better on little sleep so doing something to get you more sleep could be the key.

We did that with dd1, but this little miss hardly takes a bottle with breastmilk, if I give her formula, you’d think I was feeding her pure poison. I was hoping with her eating more solids things would improve, but not really. My other two were horrible sleepers too until 18-20mo, after that they were/are the best sleepers, so I’m clinging on to that for dear life .

We're at my parents and Lily has seemed a little depressed. She brought a stuffy to the back door that was at the grave of their dog, Big who died earlier this year. She misses Big. 😥

chrisy01 to answer your question I did go shopping today. Black Friday is starting to rub off here. I was fast, because it’s a workday, but I wanted to avoid the weekend crowds. I got 11 pairs of new undies… I was still rocking the target ones I got in the us 2.5 years ago, the pp stuff from last year and some very uncomfortable ones I got online when all the stores were closed. So I treated myself and spend a whopping €50 (saved €40). I got a Christmas dress for dd1 & the last things for Sinterklaas. I always get the kids some Sinterklaas wrapping paper to make fake presents & to avoid questions why it’s in the house, but yesterday they dove in the stash and literally used the whole 9 yards. It kept them entertained for an hour, so I’m not complaining. I did need new paper, so I got that too . I got a nice roll with smoked salmon…

Hello! Safe travels tgrimes nam2013 I think you will do ok with lowering the bar on all fronts and do your best. This ,too, shall pass and we will be here for extra mental support if you need it. I never think about teacher gifts until someone here mentions it. The shower bomb is a good idea! I may do that and a food gift card and call it a day. We had a good day. So much food from a fish fry- and desserts. I’m stuffed. No shopping in store for me. I bought a few items online this morning. I need to make a list of whatever left I need to get so I can try to do that by cyber Monday and be done. Hope everyone has a good weekend! We’re probably leaving tomorrow.

I’m almost done with my homework for the week. 8 tasks and 6 done with 5 of them done today. I took out the trash, did some laundry and cleaned parts of the house.
I’m also so upset with my cousin L again. I’m just over the drama she starts.

I ordered so much stuff today. First I was texting my husband stuff to order for me and then I just started ordering it myself and telling him what he’s giving me. He’s a good shopper but I’m 40 now, I know what I want.

For teacher gifts i usually do target gift cards. At some point in the next week or so they usually run a sale for a percentage off them so I get them then.
B has 7 teachers in his room and an ‘enrichment’ teacher who comes in for 30 minutes per day. So 8 people. S has his teacher and then 2 aftercare people. So that’s… 10? It’s ridiculous. Bs class has so many bc the afternoon are all part timers so some are only there 2x per week.

I was done shopping (besides the teacher gifts) but then I got 2 more tags off a tree to buy for kids. I’m a sucker for those and can’t say no. So now I just need to buy 2 more gifts and be done.

Hi hi! Busy few days here with n turning 5 on Wednesday and then cooking for Thanksgiving yesterday. Just my mom is here, so it was low key and nice. Today j got his second shot and I FORGOT his card! Thankfully it was at his pediatrician and the nurse said I can bring it in on Tuesday at his well visit and she will mark it. N got her first shot too.. the variant news kind of dampered my enthusiasm, but regardless, a huge relief.
I took my mom to an open house for a huge retirement community near me. It was a huge gated community with tons of amenities on site, which would be lovely. Definitely at the early stages of figuring out what she wants to do and where to be, but a good first step.
No shopping for me..I wanted to sign up for a local organizers membership program, until I realized it's $9k for the year🤣. If I had disposable income though like that, I'd sign up for that!
