I don’t understand the point of open-toed slippers. DNW the breeze on my cold toes!

I don’t mind MRIs. Other than being cold, it’s usually a nice peaceful half hour of just lying still which never happens at home.

To be fair, my past one was just a boob mri and they are not very big ya know. *mine* at least. But I always fall asleep so I have no clue how long they usually are. I’ve probably had more mris than most ~normal~ people. *your* mri was a spectacularly bad situation so I’m extra sorry about that. Hugs friend.

So my track record is bad. I also feel like the anxiety of why I’m being MRI’d would keep me from falling asleep. But that’s probably situational. I’m glad they feel relaxing to you! I feel like the dentist is a vacation, most of the time. So I understand the concept.

I mean, maybe don’t *DO* do my dentist. Although he is hot. So if you wanna, I won’t judge.

The dentist definitely feels like a relaxing break to me. I've never had an MRI so can't compare.

I have one.
I love matching outfits. I love matching M, I love matching J. I love when J & M match. I love when my kids match the dogs. I love when I match the dogs. It brings me joy and I will keep doing it as long as my kids will tolerate it.
Brought to you by the fact that I just ordered matching Christmas pjs for all my human and furry kids, and pants for MH and I to coordinate too.

I honestly think that our US medical insurance system is inhumane.

I’m sure that’s popular. lol. Yup. Especially for small businesses. I just listened to the insurance presentation for S's company and for a PPO plan, it's over $800 per paycheck!

And you need to pay out of pocket still. You never know how much it’s going to cost for treatment. And if it’s an emergency, you might be in network at the hospital, but the doctor could be out of network.

Our district added 3 more early release days to their schedule.
I do not like that.

I showed hubby the other day and he goes "as long as it makes you happy"! I knew I married him for a reason lol

We ordered matching PJs for the first time this year. And it was MH's idea! (never would have thought he'd ever suggest that).

I'm not into the matching thing. Maybe that's the real UO? But I love it for those of you who love it!

I’m sure that’s popular. lol. Yup. Especially for small businesses. I just listened to the insurance presentation for S's company and for a PPO plan, it's over $800 per paycheck! The system is so broken on so many levels. Remember when Obama totally demolished the entire student loan industry with a swipe of his pen? Can we do that to the entire medical insurance system??? Please? I really want to provide insurance for my employees, but holy eff. It's utterly crippling. Like $7000 per month for me to cover a bronze plan for each of my full time employees and zero dependents. Fortunately my advisor was one of the people in the Vermont state government who crafted our current health care system. He pointed out that the design of the system is a (very small) step toward detaching employment from insurance. Vermont has more premium subsidies than the federal ACA. So my highest paid employee only pays about $175/month for his insurance. If I provided insurance it would likely be way worse insurance then what he current gets and might even end up costing him more. So instead I'm working toward providing FSAs and paying the non-subsidized part of the premiums (I also already pay into the subsidies based on payroll since I don't provide insurance). It makes SO much more sense than trying to cover it all myself. But it basically never makes sense to the employees that I've talked to about it. The health insurance system feels like a game of monopoly where one person has amassed so much money that they have put hotels on everything and you can literally do nothing to save yourself and just have to watch your money fly away into a hole.
