I couldn’t find any other threads so I am starting a new one.
I just got back.
I loved it. I know zero about this story arc though. So a lot I feel I need to read some backstory on and see it again.
Totally swooning over Richard Madden.
The post credits scene was interesting and I need to give the person in it more of a chance to see how they do in the MCU. I’m not sold.

I'm planning on going to a Tuesday matinee (cheap day!). Was going to try for Friday, but had to get my car into the shop, and would prefer a little less crowded theater still. And cheap day after getting car fixed.
I know nothing about this group of characters, and have been reading background as much as I can.

I loved it so much.
I also know basically nothing about this story line, but I am excited to see where it goes.
The visuals, the story, the acting were all really good and both the mid credit and post credit scene has me excited for what's to come.

I saw it today and really enjoyed it. Although I kept calling one character Superman-lite in my head as I was watching and then had to laugh at one line in the movie, and if I were recounting the story right now, I think I only remember the names of three characters. And I was sitting there wondering where any existing Avengers were during some of these global events, and my, don't those rings look a little familiar, flashing back to Shang-Chi's post credit scene.
I think they did a good job of introducing so many characters that many of us have no idea what story lines they came from.
Mid-credits scene, I'm very much into one of the new characters (are there spoilers on this? It's all over the internet). The actor surprised me with his great work in an earlier film, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of him. Also very much looking forward to the post-credit scene development down the road.

We watched it last night. I really enjoyed it. Loved the relationship between Druig and Mekkari and wish they'd have been innit more. Next time, I'm sure.

I streamed it on Disney+ last night. I’d heard it had bad reviews, but I figured bad for Marvel would still be decent. But man, it was boring. I was really surprised I didn’t like it very much. My favorite characters were Kingo and his valet. I’d happily watch more of them.

It's somewhat hard to get invested in all the characters. It's not my favorite overall, though I enjoyed it. But I also understand why people didn't

I’m sorry to say, not really a fan. It’s fine, I guess? I like many of the characters individually, I think there are maybe too many for me to keep track or be invested in their fates. And the way the story is structured, I wasn’t attached to anyone before they started dying so I was left not caring.
Definitely ranking it fourth compared to the other Marvel films of 2021. Still better than Iron Man 3 (my least favorite MCU film)!

We FINALLY watched this today. It took like 5 hours because kids.
Anyway. I really enjoyed it. I think it got bad press, but I don’t particularly know why.

We finished it last night. I was telling my H that I wished it was a tv show because there were so many characters that deserved development and it was a mistake to introduce them with this slog of a movie.
Anyway. Basically I like the characters, didn’t like the movie. I found the plot incredibly boring and I just didn’t even care the whole time. But the credits scenes made me excited for what is next.
I would watch a whole show of Druig and what’s her name together.

One of the things the Marvel movies did so well was take one character and give them an origin movie, then built outward from there. Taking all the characters of the Eternals and throwing them in one movie without the individual development really hurts the film series they're attempting. A show would have filled that need better. I really like Sersi, and thought Gilgamesh and Thena's relationship was such a compelling story on it's own. I'm mad that it was cut so short. They really all deserved their own focus.

Also in the final credits scene, I patted myself on the back for immediately recognizing Mahershala Ali’s voice. My H was like how did you know that was him? To me his voice is very distinctive lol.
ETA: I should note I had no idea it has been announced on the internet. I avoid most MCU stuff to not spoil things for that reason.
