That's not how it happened to her. Do you remember them all in the closet? Huh...I don't think i do She was hiding in the back room/closet and Rileys mom and everyone ran back there to hide and saw her. Erin ended up shooting her in the stomach. Bev goes well you only have about 5 minutes until I come after you again. That's why she was on a rampage to find her and hurt her

I didn't think they ever showed it. I don't think they ever straight show it. You assume because of how devout and sanctimonious she is that she has taken communion both because of her devoutness and because she is in on the master plan. I meant drank the poison but I guess she didn't need to?

The baby part doesn't feel like closure to me. I thought they could have done better there. Yeah for sure

I meant drank the poison but I guess she didn't need to? She didn’t need to because of how she died. You were to assume she took the communion and that she was going to take the poison after everyone else once she saw how it played out. They still needed her to lock the doors etc so she couldn’t go when everyone stelae did. They intentionally left a lot out with Bev so you questioned it up until the end.

I'm just not watching the last episode, 15 minutes in.

They tie up most of the loose ends in the last episode.

I didn't think of that as a closet so I thought I missed something.

One question I have is about Bev giving the 1080 to Pruitt. He didn't seem to know why he was feeling ill, right? So did she do it secretly to him, or did I miss something and it was planned between the two of them?

I'm happy-ish with the ending. Did the sheriff live though? He never took communion or the poison that I saw. I wish they had showed if he lived. And if the creature got away.

I assumed he died with his son, he was probably bleeding out pretty good. I felt really bad he had to witness his sons death first though esp after he lost his wife.

I read an article they purposely didn't answer whether the creature got away or not. I cant remember exactly what was said but I can find it

Also did anyone notice the use of all the 4's on the church sign? There was a reason for that as well, among other things having to do with 4

I assumed the sheriff died. I also assumed the angel was destroyed because Leeza said she couldn't feel her legs again.

He said it's meant to mean that when they were talking about the blood earlier, how as long as you have small amounts your blood will take over again. She hadn't had communion in awhile so she was losing the "angel" blood

Omg I'm so dense. I remember when Pruitt took out that flask and added to the communion wine. That was the creature's blood. Duh. I thought it was his personal wine flask or something lol.

I wondered why the people didn't try to go hide under scraps of the buildings or something but I guess everything was was actively burning.

Watching the final episode now. I finally realized what/who Bev Keene reminded me of - Umbridge. Sickly sweet veneer hiding pure hatred and evil. (And that was before Bev even turned.)

Does that mean the people that had taken communion, but not drank the 1080, like Leesa and Riley's brother. That they would not turn into vampires when they die later in life?

Nope since she was already losing her ability to walk I assume your "regular" blood would take over again rather quickly once you stopped drinking it

H and I just finished the show and I loved it. It was sometimes slow moving but I found it really beautiful and it touched on so many issues that I actually kind of loved the monologues and all the family dynamics they showed. I still like Haunting of Hill House just a tinge more but I don't think I can convince H to watch that one as he isn't really into straight horror.
I instantly fell in love with that depressing island. I can't wait for his next show.
