Age: 4
Milestones: Confidence in the pool. Rewind a year ago and he was so terrified of the pool. This year, though, captain bravery.
Challenges: Mosquitoes love him, much like they love his mama. Good lord, the welts.
Funny/cute stories: I can't think of anything, which is sad since I've missed the last few check ins. My brain is not on point.
How are you? It's hot.
QOTW: Does your little one have a favorite fictional character? Blaze, or Chase from PP.

Age: Almost 22 months.
Milestones: Sentences. What?! I've never known this kind of word magic with a toddler.
Challenges: Good golly is he independent. "I DO IT!" to everything in life.
Funny/cute stories: He's discovered his rain boots. They MUST be worn at all times.
QOTW: Does your little one have a favorite fictional character? Mickey, or the collective PP crew. He got a stuffed Rocky which he now carries around with his stuffed bunny. One for each arm, I suppose.

Age: 4
Milestones: Patience. She's been really good about waiting her turn at home for mommy or daddy time. And listening has been going well lately. We also had a kindergarten teacher friend at our house this past weekend. She "tested" some of J's math and reading skills and said she's a smarty-pants, and that she's well prepared for pre-K and advanced for K. FX J keeps loving school!
Challenges: The 'tude. Geez... She's already 16. Like, she'll do as asked, but you'll DEFINITELY hear about it.
Funny/cute stories: I got her a new bathing suit and she's in love. It came with a headband that matches, so I'm obviously a freakin' super hero! "MAMA, there's a matching headband! And guess what? You know what? It can get wet - just like my basement suit!" Yes, she calls bathing suits basement suits. CUTEST.
How are you? In major survival mode. MH has been out of town on a work trip for the past three days, and we just got done hosting out-of-town guests for three days, and I'm working in two time zones at the office.
Anything else? I'd like to lose 10 lbs. now, please. And somebody track my Weight Watchers points while you're at it.
QOTW: She's into a lot of princesses... well, all princesses. And someone told her about the My Little Pony movie coming out in October, so now it's all I hear about.

Age: 2.5 years
Milestones: Almost jumping off two feet! He's been so determined. Seems to be starting to understand counting gives an amount-like to today he counted all the tires on the horse trailer and announced,"Truck has 10 tires!"
Challenges: He never cries but lately he's been having this odd spells of total hysterics when he wakes up suddenly or is overtired and saying stuff like,"Mommy, catch me!" or "Don't like turkey gobble me!" He seems so freaked. I hate it.
Funny/cute stories: He's obsessed with boobs. He placed blueberries on his chicken tender and said,"Chicken has boobies!"
How are you? Vacation Monday!!! CD 1 was the other day. All the wine. Enough said.
Anything else? Not much. I want it to be summer like 10 months out of the year, please.
QOTW: Does your little one have a favorite fictional character? Many. Right now Tayo the Bus is very popular. As are Dino Trux.
