I have joined three FB discussion groups yesterday and I can't stop reading about it. I feel so awful for her parents.

Do they know that she was left in Grand Teton area? What if she was with him on the way back but got left behind somewhere along the way?

I wonder if maybe the reason he is not cooperating is that he kicked her out of the van and left her by the side of the road in a fight. Maybe he tried to go back and find her after he cooled down but couldn't. If she died after that, would he be partly responsible? Like negligent homicide or something? That could explain why he wouldn't talk to anyone without a lawyer when he got back to FL. He might not have known she was dead for sure but that the possibility was there.

@winomite, he is 23 and that photo is not her in the background.

ETA: It doesn't look like his age is readily available, but there is a potential age gap between them. I'm finding 23 for his age, but I don't think that is confirmed.

And maybe the other women witnessed the accident/murder and he had to kill them. They were killed between August 14-18. That doesn't line up with the timeline.

Maybe he assumed she’d get a ride or find someone to help.

Maybe he did and then something happened to her.

Yo, the redditors on her sub are currently scouring through every national park photo on instagram that is public to see if she is in the background anywhere. Grand tetons, yellowstone. All the possible parks she is in.

But the biggest part of him not answering her mom is her mom wasn't calling his phone, she was calling her daughter's phone, that he had on him. That's a big difference to me.

Sorry, but whatever way you shake this him having HER van and phone, not telling anyone he left her somewhere without her van or phone, and just driving to his parents home, is suspicious as fuck. I know early 20-somethings can be dumb, but this isn’t just being dumb.

Brian's sister just made a statement that she "wants this all to be a big misunderstanding" and that Gabby was like a sister to her. Just more speculation with no real info. Apparently they aren't even talking to her either.

Say they are driving, get into a fight. He stops, goes over and pulls her from the van. She doesn't have her phone in her hand- it gets dropped in the van, maybe under the seat where he doesn't see it. What the fuck would have to do with him having her phone and keys two weeks earlier?

This was my understanding as well. They only had her phone on this trip. And HER van and HER keys. Nothing was his.

Honestly, if I was a person of interest in a jaywalking case, I’m shutting my mouth and letting my lawyer do all of the work for me. We’ve seen cops butcher cases, cops want to close a case by arresting someone, cops do shady stuff. I watch too much true crime to do anything more than exactly what my lawyer tells me to do. My husband is a lawyer. He feels the exact same way. Also the wife of a lawyer and he agrees. He thinks she is dead though 100%.

It will either go the way of Casey Anthony and he doesn’t serve a minute or it will be a wild ride like the Murdaugh case. Either way, I am completely invested.

I read the interview that was done with Brian's sister. The odd thing to me is that she said she "hasn't been able to speak to her brother". Like are they keeping him holed up, even from other family members? This thing is so weird & extremely secretive.
I also read the open letter that Gabby's family wrote to his family yesterday essentially begging them to help, & gosh it was heartbreaking. It said she lived with his family for over a year. I just can't fathom his family's lack of empathy, for someone that lived in their home. Like, damn.

8/25 was her last Facetime call to her mom 8/27 last Snapchat and last IG activity (Gabby was liking friend's posts) 8/27 sighted with Brian in Victor, ID 8/29 she was supposed to meet a friend for her birthday, never showed up 8/30 her mom gets a text that says "no service in Yosemite" 9/1 Brian arrives in FL
So whatever happened must have happened on 8/28.
A man commented that he saw Brian at a gas station in Jackson, WY on 8/29 and that he was cursing at himself and throwing garbage away.
I think he killed her in a fit of rage.

Can I ask a question and not get yelled at? How did this case become a thing? Anyone know? I mean she's not the first missing woman.

People have been protesting at the Laundrie's home I guess. Good for them. To me they are pretty shitty people at this point. Their reaction really blows my mind. She lived with them. THEY could've reported her missing, & didn't. If my kid killed someone I would not protect them. And if the person could still be alive I would want them to help. Like WTF. No compassion or empathy whatsoever. Just hey let me protect my kid.
