I went back and read the feeding chart my pedi gave us and it recommends whole milk yogurt, cheese and cottage cheese at 8 months. So I guess I'll just go by that.

madamewaffles I hate your avatar. I stared at it way too long, drooling. All I desire in life right now are waffles and syrup.

Solids question:
DS is 5.5 months. We just stated him on rice cereal and then sweet potato puree. The last few days he's been having like 4-5 poopy diapers, which is up from 1-2 when he was just on bm. He's even started pooping again in the motn, which wakes him up and he can't resettle with a dirty diaper due to discomfort.
After DD moved out of the infant stage, she never pooped overnight, even when we introduced solids, so this is new to me.
Anyone have the same problem? How long do you think it might take for him to re-regulate poop-wise? He was on his way to doing longer stretches at night (he sttn for the first time about a week or so ago), so I'm just discouraged that we're back to multiple wakeups with diaper changes.

ellabee, sorry the solids are throwing you for a poop loop. I really am. Esp since it interferes with your STTN baby success. I can't offer advice, never been there or even heard of this. I hope it gets better soon!

Thanks again for the links. I liked how the healthy children one explained it. If I had read the John Hopkins I would still think only the baby yogurt not real yogurt was ok.
