We just watched the new Cinderella movie and it is a DELIGHT I watched this yesterday. I wish they had someone other than Camilla because I don't love her voice, but I adored Billy in it. And Idina. I didn't realize it was going to be full of song covers and I liked that.

I did love Moulin Rouge.

I didn’t know what thread to put this in but it’s so relatable. I think this is all of us.

DD2 can't get over this cold. She's fine for the most part during the day, but starts to run a low-grade fever again at night. I'm exhausted and don't know what else to do.
Over here, because we've had her tested (twice!) and she's negative for Covid.

Since covid my girls have been really healthy so some of the details are fuzzy, but my girls have asthma and with DD1 in particular things would also get worse at night and temps would come back.

We've never had her tested for asthma, as she hasn't ever seemed to have breathing issues. But she does have allergies, so I wonder if that's playing a role. She's already missed an entire week of school and we're just 3 weeks in!

She missed like 5 weeks of school throughout the year for illness and the first was right after school started. It was brutal. Her asthma was really just that goddamn cough that wouldn’t stop.

DS ended up on antibiotics when he couldn’t kick the cough from his cold this summer after a couple weeks. With meds, it cleared right up. I’d probably give the doctor a call after a week of on/off fevers.

I would bring her and gently push for a solution other than ‘wait it out’ whether that be an inhaler to open things up, antibiotics, etc.

I'll probably take her to convenient care this afternoon. Just to check for strep.
Stupid pediatrician got rid of their Saturday hours. I tried to call them this morning

So I really like my job (I work for a public school district addressing food security, housing/homelessness, mentoring, student enrichment, immigration, dv, etc etc and so forth) and I love who I work with and I super love the schedule and flexibility....
but I just got sent a linkedin job listing for the national school partnership coordinator for no kid hungry and I applied for it and I think I might really want to get it. It's right up my alley on food apartheid/justice, policy, and k-12.
But I'm so torn. I care so much about effecting change locally and working within my community, but we also need public policies nationally that increase food security for vulnerable children.

GL and I hope you get it. Higher level positions benefit so much from having someone who’s done the local work. You’d be great. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

You'd be great for this!!! You've laid the groundwork at the local level and I think you should feel great passing the reigns. You'll still be benefiting local communities, just on a broader scale. Go Leslie Knope this!!!!

Hi all. We came down to DC for the weekend and I figured you would all like that anecdote.
Going anywhere freaks me out but it is really nice to get away.
