Anyone else watching this? I love this show. The scene on the boat with Jennifer Coolidge gave me belly laughs. She is a treasure.
Who do you think dies?

I watched the first two episodes. It's intriguing.
Obviously they are leading to believe that the young wife dies, but that's too obvious, right?

I’m watching! I have no clue who dies but I hate all of the characters who don’t live there so I’ll probably be pleasantly surprised!

My guesses for who dies: The manager Armond? or the guy Jennifer Coolidge’s character is seeing.
It’s probably not the manger as it shows a casket being loaded onto a plane though?
I didn’t understand the plot of the 1st episode with the pregnant worker, as she obviously hasn’t returned.

I also read that they’re going to do a Season 2 at a different White Lotus hotel.

I haven't watched yet but I will. And it was written by Mike White, who while also a longtime Hollywood guy (he did School of Rock) - he was on Survivor!!

Well I didn't see that ending coming! Loved the finale though. Agree. As soon as the pineapple knife was set next to their bedside table I knew it involved him. I still really wasn’t expecting it to be Armond, I was thinking if he was the one who died, it’d be an overdose.

When I read that they got renewed for a second season but with a new cast, I figured Armond would be the one character who shows up in the next one for consistency. I'm really bad at guessing who the murder/victim is in all these shows, lol. Maybe we'll see Belinda again?

My happiest moment in the finale is when Belinda just got up and left when trophy wife (I forgot her name!) was trying to unload all her emotional shit on her.
I also like when the son walked out of the line at the airport.

I read a great interview with Mike White after the finale and he went into depth about certain elements. Usually I don’t seek out a lot of additional think pieces on shows, but this one got me.
I felt the sound director (is that the job title?) was amazing for the whole series. It added a lot to the whole feel of the series.

Besides Belinda, he was the only person in the entire show who wasn't being an asshole or fucking up at some point. I was rooting for him all season lol.

I watched the first two episodes and it’s not grabbing me at all. I might be broken. All the characters are annoying to me and I kinda don’t really care which one dies, except for Belinda and Quinn I suppose. MH really liked it though so I guess I’ll finish.

The music was really anxiety inducing in a good way. I also think wardrobe did an amazing job, they really made them look like real people clothes and not as perfect as most shows (especially with the teenage kids and Rachel).

I really liked it! I agree that the music added so much to it.
It was very unique with good writing and good acting and lots of fun.
It took me until episode three to really love it.

I just binged this entire season on a long-haul plane ride, and I loved it. Some parts were laugh out loud funny for me, and I am looking forward to seeing how season 2 goes. I thought Steve Zahn did a really great job - the scenes between him and his son were just so good. Casting was all around on point.
Random aside - I don’t think the airline edited any content in this show, which really surprised me. I normally fly Asian and middle eastern carriers, who are pretty aggressive with the editing. So for this show, I was like, omg I have to cover my screen at some points. I was legit worried about kids or random people walking by and seeing Steve’s testicles, lol.

I just finished season 1 and loved it. I feel so bad for Kai. I really thought when they found the jewelry that he had found a way to turn it in anonymously, but no.
I wanted to find out what was wrong with Jennifer Coolige’s lover

Finished S1 and thought it was pretty slow, but got to the last couple of episodes and felt it moving more. It was a twist for me, I definitely thought it was the wife that died and we just needed to find out how. I never guessed Armond. I and was SCREAMING at the poop scene at the end. 🤣🤮
Into S2 E3...I feel the same way, pretty slow but I love the cinematography like S1 so it's lovely to look at.
