I'm getting my hair cut and colored this morning. I think I'll go try to find a new pair of shoes to wear to the wedding. Although I'm not sure what I'm looking for.
Wedding is at 530, but we have to be there at 330 for pics. Im excited...I love family weddings since I will know a majority of people there.
Evie is excited to dance in her new dress.

Morning. Sleep training sucks. Baby girl is not having it at all. We’re not doing it at night. But I’d like to be able to put her down without rocking her for over half an hour during the day and in the evening. I’m not letting her cry it out, 3-5 minutes max, but no matter how tired she is, she will not give up the fight!
We went to a forest for a walk & lots of games on the agenda for today. Help me dream dat dd 2 will allow us to put her down tonight so that dh and I can have dinner together…?

Morning! MH got home late last night. He is downstairs parenting while I’m laying in bed after a nice, long, uninterrupted shower.
We’ll probably head to the pool for the afternoon then start setting up for the party tomorrow.

Morning! Have fun at the wedding mwhip! We finished camp yesterday and the kids are pretty sad about it. N now is incredibly snotty, so laying low today and may do a rapid test to see if it's a cold. If she's okay then I may try to get an oil change and some returns at Nordstrom..I bought mh's bday gifts from there a week ago and he has yet to try anything on🙄... so he needs to today so I can return the rejects. We have the week off and plan to do day trips and stuff. We had hoped to do sesame place, but I'm not comfortable with that now with delta.. guess I should brainstorm some lower risk activities.

I’m in the same boat the last week of summer. B’s school is closed so I had to take off work. I had been thinking of venturing to the new legoland with the boys but now I’m not so comfortable. I might just do a few day trips to the beach and hang at the pool.

Btw, we’ve been doing ‘country night’ during dinner time last week and will be doing it next week too. The kids can pick a country and we’ll make a dinner from that country, even ds who won’t touch the food, has been very enthusiastic about it! We’ve done Italy with homemade pizza, Morocco with chicken and couscous salad, the Netherlands with poffertjes and we have Sweden, Japan, Indonesia and the USA on the menu for coming week .

Apparently I’m a post whore today (somebody has got to up the post count). My bil was just transferred to their local hospital, which makes a world of difference for my parents and my sister! In stead of driving an hour and 20 minutes it’s a 10 minute drive! He’s in a lot of pain, but doing wel under circumstances.

Thats great news about your BIL nam2013, I hope he continues to improve and can go home soon! For now he’s looking at at least another 3/4 weeks in the hospital. He has antibiotics that need to be administered through an iv. But hey, as long as he’s getting better I’m not complaining!

Morning.
MH and MIL left early this morning to bring her back. Not sure what the boys and I will get into. I need to pick up a few more supplies for M, so we may head to Target. If I feel up to it, we may go to the pool.

Cornflakes cracks me up...I cant remember the last time I had them. The only time I have them in the house is for recipes.

Those will be for ds… funny story in anticipation of our trip two years ago we started very early on getting him used to some flavours we knew would be available in the us. So I got my Kellogg’s from the store, cocoa pops, which apparently is a flavour/kind developed specifically for the European market we found out after we couldn’t find them anywhere in the us🤦🏼♀️.

Breakfast for dinner is my kids’ favorite! And it's so easy! A hates it so we rarely do it. Maybe I'll do it when he's at a tractor pull in a few weeks.

We got everything packed and are waiting to eat breakfast before heading home. Mallory threw up at dinner last night and had a fever all night so we aren't doing anything on the way home like we had planned. Hopefully it's a short lived bug. I'm glad we all got colds now and not in 2 weeks when school is going to start.

I think we are going to go get a beta fish today. Emma wants to name him Jeffrey after Ant’s fish 🐠 on the Deep (Netflix show). Followed by nap and a graduation/going away party for my former boss L’s oldest son. He’s going to go to Canada to play hockey for the blackfield bulldogs. I’ve know him since he was in kindergarten/1st grade

We're also feeling the Covid fatigue over here. The "yay! you can do stuff again!...Oh wait, no you can't" stuff is draining.
Some good news on that front--I'm at my other job today and some people in-the-know here said it will become mandatory for the military very soon (days to weeks). I found out from one of my friends it already is at the VA (I knew it was for people with high patient contact, but I didn't realize it was for everyone) so it's weird that it's not yet in the military and for federal employees.

I suspect a lot of places are waiting for full approval before mandating it...which is supposed to be this month. Hurry up already, especially with the kids approval!
