Ugh, second scan was fine. Everything looked good....but they still didn't get some of the spine so now I have to go to the MFM for a third time. He's laying on his back head up so I'm hoping homeboy flips because that's a C-section waiting to happen.

Scan today went great! Everything measuring where it needs to, even saw a yawn and toes! Also it was a good thing H got tied up at work because the first image she got was a butt shot (like he was sitting on a glass table) and there is no mistaking we are Team Blue, lol. Also I was just lying on my stomach (not for long, I swear) looking at my computer and I think I felt a kick or some kind of movement. Could also easily have been gas but I'll take it

Our scan yesterday went great. Both babies looked good and they are still girls. One of the babies waved at us . We brought my daughter with us and she was so good the whole time and seemed pretty fascinated with the ultrasound this time. Baby B didn't get in any good positions for profile pictures so we only got pictures of Baby A, kind of a bummer, but whatever that's not really the point of the AS.

Baby is fine and the MFM was satisfied. Third time was a charm.

My scan went well this morning! Still measuring about 5 days ahead, but doc said it's a standard variance. It's such a comfort to see all the movement and hear the heartbeat, I may have cried a little. We got a wave too! Or he is saying "Let me out of here!"

I'm debating whether to bring DD next week even though it's nearing nap time. I think she might enjoy it, but then again, she may be way too young to understand the concept of it yet

ldubhawksfan She turned 2 last month. We've brought her twice before and at the first one she was a little concerned for me but we quickly reassured her I was fine. My sister does have a 4 month old that my daughter spends most weekdays with and she just watched my sister go through pregnancy too. It definitely seems like she gets it and she constantly surprises me with the things she says and understands. But then again who knows, she could just be repeating things that she hears us and other people say without comprehending it at all. I don't know if we'll bring her to any other appointments though. Yesterday I mostly wanted to bring her so we could have lunch together on a day that I would otherwise be at work and not see her until 5.

She has been at two other US appts, but this is the one where the baby actually looks like a baby, not a blob so I wasn't t sure if that would help her visualize it. She is 20 months.

ldubhawksfan Yeah at the first ultrasound the way my two sacs looked she thought they were eyes LOL. So she would point to the picture and say "Big eyes!" After she said that I realized that it really did look like Wall-E's eyes. It probably helped this time that they looked like actual babies and may be why she kept exclaiming, "Oh! Baby!" "Baby Sister!" and was more fascinated with watching. At the very least it was fun for me having her there.

ldubhawksfan, E knows that the pics from the ultrasound are baby and baby is in mommy's belly. She also knows that some of her old stuff is for baby. I'm not actually sure she understands that there will be an actual baby soon.....

ldubhawksfan, I wanted to bring her, but my fears about "what if we get bad news" outweighed bringing her. I wish I hadn't been so anxious, but I felt better not worrying about her there, especially because it is a LONG appointment and she would have gotten super bored after 10 minutes. I brought her home the pictures, which she likes to cart around and show visitors, and I may bring her to a boutique ultrasound later on just so she can really see D moving around.

Yeah the other appts with her have been hard. At least I would have dh at this one, but nap probably should take priority.

Had mine today and everything looked great (not a surprise given the detailed US with the genetic counselor, but still fun to see the baby and have dh there). Firmly team green. Baby is breech but it's early.
Dr talked to me about vbac vs RCS. He said I'm a good candidate for vbac because CS with DD was because she was breech. But once I started asking him more about percentages of risk to baby with vbac, how they don't induce, and when we talked about my blood thinners, he said timing the meds makes him lean toward RCS. Much to think about. Of course if this baby stays breech it's a moot point (I can't not think of Joey saying moo point! Lol)
ETA: I was worried about my weight gain so I asked him and he conformed I've only gained 6 lbs but since baby is measuring 13 oz, he isn't concerned.

ldubhawksfan, I basically went up to 16 weeks without gaining any weight and then in the past 7 weeks or so I've gained 10lbs. It comes in weird waves for me.

I don't think I gained much first tri with DD because of all the puking, but think I was on a better pace by now. I don't think I have food aversions, but I'm just not enthused by any food and may not be eating full enough dinners. I blame being always tired with a toddler! Oh well, baby is tracking well. So apparently 1 lb per boob (at least), 1 lb baby, and 3 lbs belly so far! Ha

My nightly bowls of ice cream with caramel or hot fudge toppings do not help.

I have gained more this pregnancy than my entire first pregnancy and I'm only 19 weeks. I'm hoping I will be super motivated to lose the weight since this is my last baby.
