But it drives me nutty when people give kids a name like Hailey and then insist on it being pronounced like Halle Berry does or some shit like that.

That's not how she or her parents pronounce her name though. oh really? That's kind of fucked up that they messed it up the whole podcast. It's not really that they messed it up, it's just that a lot of sounds are hard for Westerners to pronounce so they get changed. And the way that certain syllables are commonly anglicized further perpetuates the mispronunciation. Hae is pronounced like heh. It's actually the same consonant as the second syllable in Hyundai. Hyun-deh.

Eeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk! 1) congratulations 2) will she have a c name to match her bros? And can we start working on that list? You’re welcome in advance. MH and I have complete opposite taste in girl names. So, no plans of a c name. Just any name that won’t cause MH to send me an eye 9roll gif. I will take any and all suggestions. Camille Congratulations! 😊

Hal-lee is different to me than the other two, but the second two are the exact same to me. Hail vs Hay (like Hey!) I still say them the same. the "L" adds onto the Hay and makes it sound just like Hail to me.
