1. Bought some superhero capes and masks for DS1's birthday party Sunday. 2. OMG. He's gonna be four 3. And he starts school in less than a month 4. I really need to find out about a school supply list.... 5. SnapChat is dumb. It keeps saying I've opened things I haven't touched and now I can't view them! Grr. 6. One of my best friends from college sent me a late birthday gift. It had a unicorn tote!! 7. My house is a disaster. 8. But less of one than before the weekend. 9. I'm a terrible J17'er I'm never on long. 10. Is it Friday, yet?

1. How is Cinnabun thelittleredm? 2. B is doing this weird thing where he wakes at 4/4:30 and flails his arms and rolls around half asleep with is eyes closed. He's not fussing, but he makes enough noise so that I can't sleep. Then he passes out for 10 mins after his 6am nursing sesh. I hope this phase passes quickly. 3. Dear pumping, you suck. (HA, see what I did there.) 4. I ordered prints from Bs 6 month photoshoot and they should be in today. Much excite. 5. Meetings up the wazoo today. Fun. 6. Is it lunchtime yet? This nursing mama is starving. 7. I need a vacation from my kids. 8. Our house is finally getting the siding and window trim work started tomorrow. 9. I'm still waffling about a paint color. 10. Boo to property taxes and how high they our in our town. Just paid our bill. Ouch.

1) Was preoccupied this weekend - potty training. 2) Using the Oh Crap! method and DD is being a rockstar. I took off work yesterday for more practice, MIL is watching her today. Back to day care tomorrow, with crossed fingers. She'd going great. 3) Boobs are out of control. Pumped 7 ounces our of rock hard boobs over night. 4) Anniversary luncheon at work today. Hooray for catered lunches. 5) Pizza for dinner to celebrate PTing and to thank MIL for babysitting. 6) Finally broke the seal on the Jillian Michaels Beginners Shred DVD yesterday. DD1 did it with me. 7) Did I tell you all that Snickers has mini ice cream bars. So good. 8) They are part of the reason I have to do the Shred video to supplement the couple gym sessions I get in each week. 9) Borrowing a high chair from a friend that has a 5pt harness. Can't put DD2 in the Chico hook-on chair yet because she cant sit up yet. But hot DAMN she loves food! 10) I'm a pretty crappy J17er, too.

Also, I don't get snapchat thelittleredm. I think I'm too old to find it cool. Basically I use it to entertain DD because she finds the filters funny.

ellabee, Cinnabun is great! She has both ears up finally. I'll have to post a pic of her later Lol And it took me awhile to get into snapchat. Like, I'd rather just text but a couple friends primarily use snapchat so there you go. I usually just mess with the filters with DS1 lol judyblume14, W goes to town on food Lol He's like a savage tiger, growls and everything, when he's handed food to shove in his mouth.

1. I got a new phone yesterday, it's the iPhone 7+ and it feels so huge. 2. My 2 year old just told me she needed to poop on the potty and did! All the m&ms! 3. My house is also a disaster. 4. My husband goes back to work tonight after 3 days off and works 7 of the next 9 nights. 5. I feel like R is in a good schedule finally with 2 naps and sttn. 6. He is getting solids 2 times a day, is anyone doing more than that? 7. My teeth hurt. Like my whole mouth aches, I need to get to the dentist. 8. My oldest nephew is moving back this weekend for college. He is staying with my parents. I'm excited for the possibility of post bedtime babysitting. 9. No plans today and I don't need to buy anything so it'll probably be a stay at home day. 10. I am also not a great J17er. Gonna try to be better.

meeggaannw, I'm jealous you're down to 2 naps. Are you doing 2-3-4? B gets unbearably cranky if he goes past 2-2.5hrs in between naps.

ellabee all of my Snapchat use is to entertain DS and receive pictures with funny filters from my nephew and niece. I'm guessing that's not what the developers had in mind when creating the app haha. Also pumping commiseration (currently pumping away). judyblume14 so glad to hear about your Oh Crap! success! I'm still on the fence about going all in the first weekend of August with DS. He'll be 25 months. How old is your DD?

1. We're 2 days in on solids and M is not impressed. 2. Crossing my fingers that sweet potatoes are more successful tonight. 3. Is everybody following the 3 day rule? It seems so over the top but I'm nervous about breaking a rule haha. 4. I haven't worked in 12 days. So today is the Mondayest Tuesday of all time. 5. I did not miss pumping. 6. I miss M after spending so much time with her. 7. I don't miss DS as much. His grandparent/vacation hangover is still in full force. 8. I'm hoping I can really focus and get back into my work when I go back to my desk. 9. Getting up to pump every few hours is not helping my focus. 10. More coffee is probably the answer.

We are closer to 1.5-3-3, R can't hang for much longer than that. He kind of did it himself a couple weeks ago. He had 3 days that he refused to nap and was going 5-7 hours between last nap and bedtime, it was exhausting. I decided to just start pushing his 2nd nap to 3-4 hours after his first. He caught on and started lengthening his naps. It feels like freedom now!

carrots, DD will be 3 in Sept, so, 34 months. She has been casually using the potty for the past year or so, but there was absolutely no method to our madness. We should've been more rigid and trained last fall before DD2 came a long. She was absolutely ready then.

1. I just got back from the dermatologist and had 3 moles removed. It looks like I've been to war but I think I'll feel much better when they've healed. 2. The Dr awed over C and told me she had a 3 month old at home. I couldn't believe she was back at work already 3. I am testing the nap Gods now by putting C down in her crib with nothing but a binky. No sleep suit, no swaddleme. Let's see how that goes. 4. Target run after nap 5. Maybe lactation circle 6. Lakes, I also need to know 7. I'm excited for solids, but don't want to start too early. 8. I'm still shocked that C is sitting as well as she is 9. But she still won't roll 🙄 10. Should we go to J'18 and have an "ask J'17" thread?

carrots, we are not going by the 3 day rule. We are going by the "however long it takes to finish a puree package" rule. Which could be 2 days, or 12 hours. work lunch was YUM. Baked Ziti thingy and Chicken Chesapeake. The woman who organized the little party told me to take the lefties home to my family. My arm needeth no twisting.

Ladies, help me out. My sweet bebe got her 6 month vaxs on Friday. She was warm yesterday and our daycare lady jsut texted that she has a 100.1 armpit temp.
Would she have a fever 4 days following a vax? Or do you think this is unrelated?
(have a call into the doc, just curious about any experiences you may have had)

thelittleredm , ellabee , meeggaannw , pibblemom , peaseblossom55 , heybulldog and anyone else Guys. It was bad. We all know she's a cracker eater for me so I was good naturedly rolling my eyes at some of the silly first time mom stuff. Such as bringing the boppy to the splash pad because she didn't know how to give the baby a bottle while standing. But then things happened. To the point that I intervened (i.e. the baby wearing) because I was so horrified and rageful. Mil: changes diaper, asks if sil is using cream Sil: you're not suppose to use cream unless they have a rash. Lakes, internally pondering: what? Or as a barrier to prevent diaper rash because newborns poop all the time. Mil: Lakes, is this a diaper rash Lakes: yes. Sil: is it? Good to know. I don't know what diaper rash looks like. Lakes, internally screaming as she shows sil how to air out and properly dry baby butt: your baby's butt is bright red and bleeding. How do you not suspect a diaper rash?! Car seat: omg tighten those straps and fix that chest clip. Fil to the rescue. Guess I properly beat car seat safety into him. Baby wearing at splash park, moral of the story: read the damn instructions. 1. Your baby is too small to be worn in your carrier, even in the newborn kangaroo position (k'tan, minimum weight 8lbs, baby is 7) 2. Even if he did weigh enough, that's the wrong position for this age. She was doing the hug position which is for 1+ month, 8lbs, and when they can extend their legs. 3. Even if he met the requirements for hug position, you're not doing it right. She just had the rings hanging around her neck and the baby awkwardly stuffed in. You have to loop your arms through and cross it on the back. 4. Does anyone think that the baby's head should be hanging backwards at a 90 degree angle? No? Okay good.

I feel like one of the handouts I got one time said symptoms could show up a week or two later. Or teething related? Hopefully not an actual sickness.

1. Older boys at the splash pad suck. Stop sitting on the water spouts and taking the spray away from the little kids! 2. I had buffalo chicken pizza for lunch and it was delicious. 3. I should probably have a salad for dinner. 4. Dd had a little poop through at sil's but the spare onesie was in my car which I left at the inlaws. I just rinsed it a bit in the sink and put it back on her. 5. Everyone kept saying how big dd has gotten. I'm hoping it's because she really did have a growth spurt and not because she was chilling with a 12 day old. 6. Shore this weekend! I'm excited. 7. Tuesday means a mini pedicure tonight! 8. I gave mh a bottle and had him do bedtime last night. My boobs appreciated the break because dd is in that grabby/pinchy/clawing stage when she nurses. 9. She only got up once, at 4:30, last night! I however, automatically woke up 12:30 expecting her first wake up. 10. I started some embarrassingly cheesy Canadian-American drama on Netflix last night and I cannot get enough of it.

(NOT my best quality) Yes! And that's my problem. I research the heck out of everything and don't want to come off to strong because I want her to be comfortable asking me questions. So far she has and hopefully she will continue to do so. I think I managed it calmly and not in front of her parents so she wasn't embarrassed.

My little sister is due Friday and so far has done an awesome job of being on top of her shit. I'm hoping this continues so I'm not tempted to put on my big sister hat bc I don't always wear it well but like you said, I definitely want her to come to me if she needs help or has questions.
