Speaking of Bea, I remember when my bump was that size I tried to maneuver my clothes as much as possible so people would hopefully see a bump and not think I was just getting chunky.

The one that should be after Meghan. Harry, Meghan, and Archie. Otherwise it looks to me like Harry then Meghan and Archie. Maybe regional? My UK educated director will immediately strike those from any document she reads.

I called Elizabeth Diana. I’m going to take the win since we all know she is called Lilibet by family. I called Lily but was thinking the flower Lily of the Valley - said to be one of Di’s favourites, and it was in M’s wedding bouquet. Can we call it a tie? I’m not good at sharing, but I suppose…

And given how much gossip she and her sister have endured over their weight* I'm not surprised if she feels self conscious. I actually suspect that may have played into Meghan's bump cradling too. Coming from acting, where you're fat if you're anything but underweight, absolutely messes with your body image. *I am not implying that there's anything wrong with their weight or figures, only that the media has been harsh because they aren't super thin

I love the name. It's so meaningful too.
I wonder if/when we will get a picture.

My UK educated director will immediately strike those from any document she reads. It’s 100% regional and depends on the style book. I used AP in J school so no second comma.

Honestly, I've had to retrain myself to use the Oxford Comma, bc for so many years it was against style.
I know it keeps things cleaner, in terms of understanding, but I hate the extra comma. I like Meghan, Harry and Archie. Even though it's only that way bc it was cheaper when typesetting to skip extraneous punctuation and symbols.

I would love to be able to ask them why they chose that name though, especially since Archie isn't named for anyone (right?). Well I mean Harrison for Harry's son.
Is it because they wanted to extend the olive branch? Did they get so much flak for not naming Archie after someone they felt pressure? Which one of them came up with it?

I know that's the reason American words dropped some of the u's. Cheaper for printing.

It may also be that they are not on good terms with the men in the family. I think the traditions they are trying to break stem a great deal from the patriarchal side of things. Harry has always been so close with QE. I think it may not be any deeper than that.

I’m very curious about whether they talked to the queen about using her nickname before they did it.
Team Oxford comma.

I love the name. Lili is a great match with Archie.
I agree that it feels more intimate and honoring a grandmother rather than a queen.

I really thought Harry saying he’s still super close with QE2 and PP was a lie to protect the monarchy’s HBIC but this name makes me think that was actually the truth. Shocked about Philip being close being true bc you know, racist. But then again they didn’t honor him in Archie’s name.
I would have preferred Lily but it’s fine. (Lol obviously).

One of the IG accounts I follow said that the name could be a tribute to Doria, as she gave Meghan the nickname of flower.

I wonder if Charles hates having to use Diana's name to talk about his granddaughter.
DH's grandma called B by his middle name for so long because he's named after her ex-husband. She's still petty after all these years.

Can I just give props to the folks at the hospital in Santa Barbara?! Meghan gave birth on Friday morning (so was likely there Thursday night) and was discharged and home before the news of the baby broke through press release. No one leaked, no pap shots of them, everyone did the right/moral thing. It’s wonderful for a family that was put through so much during their last pregnancy and delivery.
I am anxiously awaiting first pics, but super glad Meghan doesn’t have to do the press walk all dressed up days after giving birth. I wonder if they will have her christened when they go back for Diana’s memorial thing
