Now that I have a little more time with mh at home, I'd like to figure out when to get in a weights work out, but while I figure that out I have been eating low-carb for almost the last two weeks and I definitely feel a difference in my middle section. It's not keto or Paleo but just no refined carbs, and limited fruit and starchy veg. I think it's pretty similar to the old South Beach diet (if any one remembers that) I don't feel like I'm just ingesting fatty foods and I don't feel like immmissing anything (except pretzels)

All of my jeans and shorts are getting tighter. So either my dryer is conspiring against me or I'm gaining weight... I need to do something.

I’m reviving this thread. I am just finishing up the 3rd week of the faster way. I am down 7lbs (they tell you not to weigh yourself but I don’t listen) and I can tell my tummy is getting smaller. I honestly really like this diet. I signed up for a 6 week “round” and I’ll continue eating this way for the foreseeable future. I eat plenty of food and can still have treats if I want. I’m sure I’d be losing faster/toning up if I was exercising regularly.

I'm about 10lbs down. It's so interesting, trtlcrzy, yours says not to weight and with mine I weigh every day.

trtlcrzy what is that? Is it like intermittent fasting? It’s a combo of things. Tracking macros, intermittent fasting and carb cycling. It’s $200 for a 6 week “round”.

I started the summer wanting to lose 20 pounds and now I have only 31 left to lose…. I am you with different numbers. I was doing so good before the move and now I can’t get it together. I’ve given up until September when Im done training full-time and will actually have time to focus on my health.

I think for the rest of this month I am going to only work on upping my water intake.
I have had zero ounces of water today. 😬🥴

My trip to St Lucia was going be to my motivation by now I doubt we will even be going.

I think I ate pasta and ice cream every night this week🙁. I need to get my crap together. Now that our vacation is over it will be easier to get back in a schedule. Hopefully the weather will break and I can get back to walking on my home days. Great job trtlcrzy ans klong11!

I was doing low carb and it was so effective. I don't bother with the scale but being in a bathing suit most days I could tell it was working. Then I got my period and all went to hell a few days before and a few days after. Who knew it would be rice and pub pretzels that would do me in? I didn't do total damage so it was easier to get back on track. I started again this past Friday.

I know intermittent fasting was mentioned briefly, but has anyone tried it? I'm on day 3.

I never updated last week but I finished my 6 week “round”. I lost a total of 11 inches and 10lbs. I’m still continuing on with the diet. At the minimum I’d like to lose another 10lbs before my friend’s wedding in November. I’m actually really enjoying this “diet” and it’s something I plan to stick to long term.

I know intermittent fasting was mentioned briefly, but has anyone tried it? I'm on day 3. My mom started intermittent fasting 2 years ago and lost 40lbs within 6-9 months. She’s kept it off plus another 5lbs off and on. I think she usually waits to eat until noon or 1. Although I will say, I don’t think she’s taking the best approach at it. Some days she’ll say she’s only had 1 stalk of celery all day by dinner time. I’m not sure if she’s exaggerating or what but I get kind of annoyed because it’s all she talks about and makes comments for attention sometimes. Overall, it was good for her but I think she needs to find a healthier way to maintain now.

I think I'll kinda shift and do that on weekends but earlier on weekdays

I'm losing weight, but at a snail's pace.
I had switched from regular coke to coke zero and Dr. Pepper zero, which was fine at first, but I think my body is not ok with the aspartame they use as a sugar substitute. It's wreaked havoc on my gut and made me feel horrible. So I'm back on just water.

I haven’t personally tried it so I can’t vouch for the taste.
