I've been doing pretty well keeping up with my mommastrong workouts, but I need to start doing more for my abs. My office is going back to normal hours June 1. Fuckers. That means I'll either have to wake up at 5 to workout or do it at night after the kids are in bed. I'm hoping to cut the drinking during the week so maybe it will be easier for me to do the workouts at night.

Told a coworker I was doing Noom. "oh yeah? I did that. I didn't lose any weight, but hey, good luck."

Told a coworker I was doing Noom. "oh yeah? I did that. I didn't lose any weight, but hey, good luck." My neighbor has done great with it and has dropped 35# since January so don't listen to her! To the question at hand, I am doing nothing special diet wise. I did drop the few pounds of COVID weight by eating less snacks. There's 24 days left of school and the weather is great so C and I are biking in daily and DH will pick up his bike on the way home on the days he goes to aftercare. I'm still walking with my neighbor 3-4 days a week as well. Usually about 3miles. This exercise still probably only brings me back to a base level of what I did working in person though.

I have no plan but I need to lose some weight since I have to be in a wedding in November. Iβm down 7ish pounds total, a lot more to go. I need to actually meal plan now that I can eat somewhat normally. My plan is to track macros and eat a ton of protein. I also want to join the gym but that probably wonβt happen this week. I have been spending a lot more time outside doing physical activity and I think thatβs helping too.

It focuses on the why you eat. You still log food, water, weight, and exercise, but each day there are "articles" to read and quizzes to take to find out what your goal is, why it is what it is and what are some small steps to take towards reaching that goal. The food logging isn't so much calorie counting either. There are 3 groups: green, yellow, red. You can eat whatever you want, but obviously if its a red food don't eat it all the time or in mass quantities.

wineallthetime klong11 my friend did noon and loved it. She was a friend who had done weight watchers off and on for like 15 years and said there were a lot of similarities but she really did well on noom. she had been trying to get me to join (we used to do weight watchers together) but I never did. I've been thinking about it recently. Although I still pay my monthly dues to WW. I haven't logged a meal in... months? maybe longer?

Iβve been being consistent with working out and eating better since beginning of April. Iβm just trying to feel good about my body before heading to the beach. I havenβt looked at weight or anything since. I know what I weighed before and itβs the most since postpartum, but itβs not that I needed to be losing weight a whole lot, just toning it all up. Iβm feeling a lot better but I still have some improvement to do. Last week and this week have been hit or miss because sick kid/moving.
I started doing body pump twice a week at the gym, first. Did that for four weeks straight along with a core workout, some cardio on most days. A couple weeks ago, I started doing my own strength workouts because the time of the BP class was cramping my productivity and I couldnβt let it slide as it got closer to the move.
As far as eating, I try to keep away from sugar and dairy as much as I can and eat more veggies and fruit. Every now and then I have something like ice cream or a chick Fil A cookie.

lahdeedah oh I miss body pump! I used to go all the time pre-kids. I'm Instagram friends with my fav instructor, I should see if she teaches anywhere still. I am going to try to cut dairy, I think it's causing some crazy cystic breakouts on my chin. It's misery. I have a yogurt everyday, and lately a dalgano coffee, and ice cream...need to cut at least the ice cream.

So I've only lost 3-5 pounds so far, but it's already bumped up me reaching my goal weight by a month, so that's pretty cool. I haven't really upped my exercise at all, just been focusing on food. I'm hoping to start getting some work outs in a few times a week now that schools out. I've also started walking to the mailboxes at work in the middle of the day, rather than waiting until the end of the day and driving. It's probably only a 5-7 minute walk there and back, but it at least gets me up and moving away from the stupid front desk.

Awesome! klong11 Not sure if itβs the same thing as Noom, but my work friend in AL lost a lot of weight just tracking her calories on MFP. She was really Strict with plugging everything in, but did well with it.

I have a question... May be weird/gross. Sorry .
So at my second job, one of the girls mentioned that salad give you loose stools/diarrhea, like it was a fact. I was like- really?? Another tech agreed and I was like- I never noticed but maybe I never paid attention. π€·π½ββοΈ
Iβve been eating at least 1, if not 2, meal sized salads a day since Tuesday and I do not have that issue. Just curious if salads give anyone that issue.
Now I did have sushi last night... and letβs just say today my stomach has been weird. Not awful, but Iβve been to the bathroom twice this AM. Sorry TMI! I had seared tuna in it, so not completely raw, but Iβm attributing my issue today to that. When I do eat sushi itβs usually with cooked protein, so this was new to me, but it was good.

lahdeedah, I've never had that issue and like you I eat at least 1 a day. Maybe they are putting something weird in their salads.

lahdeedah I eat 1-2 salads a day and have never had that problem. I guess it depends on what all is in the salad though.

lahdeedah, I love salads and haven't noticed but in all honesty and TMI, I'm a loose frequent kinda person on the regular?

Iβve been working out for 30 mins around 5 times a week. Iβve been using the fitness app through Apple and do 20 min strength workouts with dumbbells and then a 10 min core workout. Iβm not trying to lose weight. Just tone so i can be bikini ready.

lahdeedah that is odd. If anything it's extra fiber in greens and could help move things along, but won't categorically give someone diarrhea. Everyone's digestion is so different.

Time for my nightly debate of snack or no snack. Cadence and I are sharing some fruit, so at least it's healthy. My brain really wants one of the doughnuts that's on the counter though. π₯Ίππππ©
