hopefully she will pass the piece of baby kitten bottle nipple that she bit off and swallowed. otherwise it's off to the vet tomorrow to see what to do next. it scared her so she's struggling to eat/drink enough. so maybe vet anyways. I bottle fed my kitten at a teenager, we found her abandoned under a trailer. I learned they need rectal stimulation as young kittens in order to have a BM. The mom usually takes care of it as she’s grooming them. It was exactly what hat she needed to relieve her fat belly. Oh we've been doing that for weeks. She poops just fine even on her own without help. But not passing the huge piece of bottle nipple

So, just wanted to put it out there, it’s worth noting that 100 years ago was the Tulsa massacre. Which I only learned about last year. I was wondering if for any of you it was at a different time. Was it told about in school? Nope. Never learned about it in school. I learned about it as an adult doing my own research and reading. Absolutely shameful how awful our education is in this regard.

Very little Black History is covered at all. It absolutely needs to be rectified.

History in general has rarely been taught at the level it should be and has gotten even more overlooked in recent years. And I suspect there aren't a lot of people majoring in history and planning a teaching career these days as well. Same with many of the liberal arts.
Understandable in many ways, but I think it's detrimental to future students, and societies.

Was it told about in school? I did not learn about it in school. I think I learned about it 5ish years ago? During Black History Month, something I saw online I think. There is so little Black history that extends beyond teaching what slavery was and Malcolm X, Rosa Parks, MLK Jr and basic segregation/Jim Crowe laws stuff from the early 20th century. There are a lot of prominent events and figures that I didn't learn about until I was an adult and many I still don't know about.
