Happy Friday. I'm at work but leaving at 2. I'm going to go over to my sister's new house (they moved 2 miles from us yesterday!). Trying to decide if I should just go alone or pick up the kids first...

No to towing it, just yet.  It's 23 feet so not too large but I would definitely practice so I can take it out.

inthekitty people will swear that diet is the cure all...I see it in some of the JIA groups I'm in. And getting on the same page with your spouse, when your child is suffering, is so fucking difficult. As hard as it is, just remind yourself that you are both working towards the same goal, just maybe not the same way to get there.

I’m sorry about the unknown. inthekitty That must be so frustrating to not have any real answers. I hope they can do more testing to figure something out to help her manage the pain. She shouldn’t have to suffer like this.

trtlcrzy I think you asked about ideas for a vacation one day this week, but I didn’t have a minute to respond and forgot. Are you driving, flying? I think you said beach... are there any on the west coast you can look into? Maybe some nice resort hotel within driving distance of you with a nice pool/cabana area. Check Costco travel website... they have some decent deals for domestic resorts. I’m eyeing this one in Arizona and want to plan, but I have to wait to see if they do the same deal for next year dates.

We are in the middle of the country so we would definitely fly. I still need to talk dh into it but thanks for the tip on Costco, I didn’t think about that.

Hey. My sister asked me to pick up a fruit tray this morning and bring it to her work so we did that and then went to Home Depot. I’m trying to get everything prepped so we can get things done quickly this weekend on the front porch. I want to get it painted and the lattice put on it. I’m going to try and do a few prep things while V is napping if I can.

inthekitty I’m sorry things are still up in the air with C. I hope you get some answers and a treatment plan soon.

I don’t know if I’m remembering correctly, but do you have family in Florida? For some reason, I think I remember you having a sibling or aunt or someone there?

I need flight prices to chill out by next year. I’ve been watching prices on a flight to go to a friends wedding in NO end of June, and I’m not impressed with the price. It could just be the airport I’m flying from though. 🙄

Yep, my sister in law is in the Orlando area. This probably sounds selfish but I don’t really want to spend my vacation visiting them. I just want to hang on the beach or by a pool.

Not selfish. We were supposed to go to HI earlier this year, but of course, COVID cancelled. MH's niece lives there and I was trying to make it clear during planning that I was happy to get together with the niece for a day or maybe a dinner or two, but I didn't want to make it the niece show. I wanted to explore HI primarily, not visit family. Of course MH was trying to make the entire trip centered around his niece who barely saw us when she lived right near us. 🙄

We had the video visit with Cassidy's doc. He is mystified as well and said it's still possible there is a hairline fracture that is hard to pick up on the xray and we'll get another xray in a week or see because the calcium deposits from healing should be evident if it is a break.

So no answers, but he's working with us on it. Thankfully whatever the issue is, he doesn't think it's chronic. He said it's possible her body was weakened from the virus and more susceptible to injury. She has an in person visit Tuesday.

That's promising. Im glad he seems to be determined to figure it out and hope she is comfortable.

Evie got good news at her eye exam, everything looked good and because she hates the drops to dilate her eyes so much, if she sits real still at her next visit, they won't dilate every time! She was very happy to hear that!

No tears for her shot...3 weeks in a row. I did bribe her with cotton candy if she took her shot within 15 minutes from starting the process.

Not selfish at all... sometimes family just isn’t vacation. At this point, I would rather not travel with my family because more often than not, they negative Nancy the whole experience. I’m hoping my mom doesn’t bring the my whole beach trip down. Last time we had a good time, but lately her attitude has been not delightful.

Agree. Anytime I mention going to a museum or the indy zoo mom says she wants to go too...
But shes exhausting on trips. She claims she can help me but then I spend the whole time frustrated with her method of help.
