Morning. Today is Pentecost at school, so the day started with a more than grumpy ds because he had to wear white, which he hates (apparently white is not a coulour and he only likes to wear coulours..) and shoes in stead of his wellies. I caved on the shoes. I, on the other hand, love this day. My parents picked them up from school & my mom snapped a quick pic without coats on 🥰.

Dd2 was a delight this morning, but had a poopy diaper 5 minutes into her nap, woke up and is a grump ever since... I was hoping to take a nap with her, no such luck today .

How are you all doing today? How’s M @lahdeehdah? Anybody heard from flamingo lately?

TGIF indeed! Well, for me, Evie is having a shit day. She has an eye appointment this afternoon then her shot tonight. Poor kid.

We have a busy weekend. Tomorrow we have a graduation party for one of Hs cousins. My nephew and his wife are home from NY for the week so they wanted to see everyone tomorrow evening.

Sunday we have another graduation party for one of my best friends daughters.

It will be nice to see everyone, but sounds exhausting just typing it out!

MH is out of town - and of course, B who usually sleeps till 7:30 woke up at 6:15 this morning. I was up at 5:30 for no good reason as well. So it's gonna be a long day.

Other than that, S has field day at school today which he was super excited for, and then I'm taking both boys to B's soccer practice tonight (where B will refuse to participate and sit right at my feet lol)

It was nice to get away, even if it wasn’t the beach. A lot of stuff still wasn’t open and most of the restaurants closed around 8. Definitely less people there than usual, so I guess that was a good thing.

Both Smokey and the accountant called out today. The accountant has been out pretty much all week because her kids have allergies....
I keep reminding myself I get to leave at noon, but I'm scared I'm going to get shit on since I'm the only staff who bothered to show up. I just want a nice quiet Friday.
Did I mention Cadence won't let me nap Friday afternoons anymore? Yeah...no bueno.

The doctor hasn't called me with my results, but he posted them on my chart and wants me to see a rheumatologist again because my RF and CCP are both high. Wonderful.

jewels M has field day today, too. He was excited for it. I put his hat on before we left the house and as soon as we pulled into the school grounds he took it off and put it in his back pack. I showed him the other kids getting out who had theirs on and he said he wanted to wait until he got to class to see if anyone was wearing it. Kids, man. He was also not pleased when I lathered him down in sunscreen. 😂

Buy that Nivea Japanese sunscreen for him. M & H love it because it’s just like lotion instead of smelly, sticky sunscreen.

I’m at my last day of scheduled work. I’m kind of sad. Dinner with the coworkers last night was nice. They gave me a gift card for target and had all great things to say.

Tonight we have baseball and I have to clean for the buyers to do the walk through tomorrow while we’re at the game. So ready to be done with the physical moving and packing.

I’m so happy it’s Friday, this week has been so busy!

This gorgeous got delivered to my Mom’s house yesterday! I’m so excited, I’m going tomorrow and taking all the fun shit I’ve bought for it and organize it!! I’m excited to camp of course but organizing it, whoa! Cannot wait.

I got a bunch of messages about Cass today from her care providers. Ortho says there's no break and it might just be a bad sprain. I'm spiraling a bit and thinking does she have some conditions weakening her bones now. She randomly cries out in pain for a half hour or longer when just sitting there not moving. Even a break shouldn't hurt that bad when you're just sitting there. Her PCM has been on top of it all and we have a video session this afternoon.

Meanwhile MH is driving me crazy. One of his friends who visited this weekend is a major know-it-all. He insists it may be due to the dangers of gluten (he's one of those guys who says he has a gluten allergy when he doesn't). So MH is on some kick that it's her diet. She asked for a bagel this morning and he said no, all she eats is bagels and instead gave her...toast. It's the same fricking thing and they both have gluten. Fix her some fruits or veggies if you think it's diet related.

It's killing my soul to hear my kid in such pain constantly.

inthekitty ugh I'm so sorry. I would be super annoyed about trying a new diet without a) confirming with an actual doctor and b) doing it correctly. If he thinks there actually is cause, I'd test for celiac and you need gluten in your system to even test for it. We are trying GF for J's constipation and it has helped, but our doctor blessed a trial of it since nothing else has worked and the girls and I have issues with it.

I really hope her sprain is unrelated to that virus🤞🤞
