Weeks Pregnant: 24w2d
Baby is the Size of a: cantaloupe
Appointments: next week for OB and early June for glucose test
Team? Green/blue/pink? Pink
Rants/Raves? Looking forward to a couple of camping trips coming up. We are going to the mountains for 3 nights for Memorial Day and to the beach for 5 nights a few weeks later. I’m getting burnt out at work and need the breaks.
How are you feeling? Still big. I am trying to stop picking up my kids but it’s hard when they want to hang all over me.
GTKY: how prepared are you feeling for baby? Not at all. I need to get our bassinet back from a friend a leant it to and she has some boxes of baby clothes for me so I need to figure that out. We moved my 3 year old into a room with our 5 year old about a month ago and it’s going okay. We plan to move the 18 mo old to her room upstairs in the next few weeks so hopefully that goes smoothly. I am in girl clothes hell here. We have so many clothes and I’m trying to switch out everyone’s clothes and organize the out of season stuff by size but I’m so overwhelmed that it’s just a huge mess right now. Hoping I get motivated in the next few weeks. Oh and we need to pick a name at some point 😂

Weeks Pregnant: 26w3d
Baby is the Size of a: acorn squash
Appointments: OB on 5/25, cardiologist on 5/26 and I have to take the glucose test on 5/21
Team? Green/blue/pink? Blue
Rants/Raves? Huge rant- I passed out again on Friday and spent the night in L&D. My blood pressure is very low and my heart tests is high. I’m so dizzy and lightheaded. I’m on modified bed rest until I can see the cardiologist. I did see my OB today and thankfully baby has been doing well. He’s kicking away and has been measuring on track. I’m hoping he stays put and that my blood pressure doesn’t keep dropping.
How are you feeling? I’ve been feeling pretty rough since Friday morning. See above.
GTKY: how prepared are you feeling for baby? Not very now that I can’t really do anything. DH and DS started painting the baby’s room and the new carpet goes in on Friday. I have done some online shopping since I’m stuck on the couch. At some point we need to settle on a name.

Weeks Pregnant: 25+1
Baby is the Size of a: cauliflower
Appointments: June 2
Team? Green/blue/pink? Blue
Rants/Raves? I’ve had a headache/migraine all afternoon- I’m having break through pain so it’s been a rough afternoon. Other than that I’ve been feeling ok. My anxiety has been pretty bad and I talked to my dr last week about it. He’s putting me on Lexapro and I have an appointment with a therapist but not until the end of June. I’m hoping it works because my anxiety levels are outta control.
How are you feeling? Good overall.
GTKY: how prepared are you feeling for baby? I’m pretty sure we have just about all major things we will need for him but it is all just in random stacks around the house. We will be moving DD to her new room by the end of the month then I’ll work on painting her old room/the nursery and then I can start to organize it all.

skategirl128 does your OB have any ideas as to why you are giving these spells/low bp/fast heartbeats? I hope you can get it figured out soon.

sarahh, I relate so much to everything you wrote! We moved the girls into a room together, and I spent part of my week off work just organizing their clothing, lol. SO MUCH CLOTHING. Especially the 3-4 year old stuff, which my 3.5 year old is in now (although she is mostly in 4T and 4/5). skategirl128 I have been thinking about you. I think modified bed rest makes sense, because of the fall risk, but ugh, that stinks for you. mrspants, any relief from your migraine? I had those in first tri, I get bad hormonal ones occasionally, and they are awful and debilitating. I hope you're feeling better.

Weeks Pregnant: 28+5
Baby is the Size of a: echidna or coconut
Appointments: Had one Thursday, next is a growth ultrasound on 5/20 (the reason listed is just AMA, so I think it's just a precaution and a perk of being older? lol)
Team? Green/blue/pink? Green
Rants/Raves? I actually don't have anything in particular this week!
How are you feeling? Okay. I was a little nauseous and refluxy this morning, but it seems to have died down. Work has been busy and I have been on my feet a lot, which really exacerbates my back pain. But, it's bearable, and the actual SPD pain doesn't seem *that* bad, yet. I can feel it when I roll over in bed or put on pants, but it's manageable for now
GTKY: how prepared are you feeling for baby? Somewhat. We still need some important things, like a bassinet, and a handful of other important things. But, my friends are throwing me a small sprinkle in early June, so I am waiting for that to buy the rest of the things off our private registry. I just created it for the completion discount, lol. We have a car seat and bases, and a nice new stroller, ready to go.

thatgolfb it’s mostly gone as of this afternoon. I am pretty sore it was from being dehydrated so I’m trying to drink more water but I’m over water at this point.

skategirl128 does your OB have any ideas as to why you are giving these spells/low bp/fast heartbeats? I hope you can get it figured out soon. They have no idea. The tests from the hospital didn’t really show anything but my numbers have been so low. It’s really bad in the mornings. I’m having 200mg of caffeine per OB recommendation everyday to see if this will help (I’ve been avoiding coffee since it didn’t sound good for so long but I’ll do what it takes). I meet with the cardiologist in two weeks but maybe sooner if they have a cancellation. I’m on modified bed rest (basically I can move around but no driving, strenuous activity, etc. I’m basically stick at home resting as much as I can to decrease my fall risk).

I’m sorry for the blood pressure issues skategirl128. Hard when they can’t tell you why it’s happening. And I’m sorry for the anxiety mrspants. I’m glad you have some help coming with meds/therapy. Anxiety sucks.

Weeks pregnant: 28+5
Baby is the size of a: large eggplant
Appointments: last week of May for OB, growth ultrasound on 6/4.
Team? Green/blue/pink? IFs are team 💙
Rants/raves: we got to meet the intended parents this weekend for the first time face to face and it was so lovely! We got along very well and it didn’t feel forced. Hopefully my crazy 6 and 1.5 year old didn’t scare them too much. The 6 year old peppered them with so many random questions.
How are you feeling? Overall pretty good. Big, tired, but no major complaints
GTKY: n/a to me this time. I’m preparing for some fmla with work and going to spend some time in TX with family while I’m off.
