I just started knitting in the New Year and I really love it. It is my winding down activity at night. I am working on a shawl that I am pretty proud of right now. I will get a pic of my progress tonight. Here is the pattern though. I might have it finished in time for fall... I just started the third (outer/biggest) section. The wool is merino blend and so cozy. LOVE. So simple but I love the detail of the alternating directions of the stitches in each section.

Ok, here's what I've got so far. It's not perfect, but I'm quite proud as a novice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

sparky85 I'm working on that same afghan as a CAL with some friends! I'm doing my squares in ivory and the border will be mustard.

rooskie, your socks are amazing! I'm a knitter- but I never have time to do it. I'm hoping that by intro'ing I can get motivated to knit more. I started a sweater for my DS2 when he was a year old thinking I could make it an 18 mos size and since he'll be 2 next month and it's spring, I'm going to have to gift it. My mother taught me to knit when I was 8 or 9 and I used to make sweaters for my hamster! My yarn stash is out of control even after donating a ton. My favorite yarn is Manos del Uruguay. I don't like to knit blankets but I'm dying to make a chunky entrelac one.

I do both but prefer crochet. I'm currently working on a hexagon blanket. I'm maybe 1/3 of the way finished.
I'm still pretty new at crochet, so it's been a little slower than i expected. I just finished a couple water filter covers for Water with Blessings since they're quick and easy.

I taught myself to crochet about 6 months ago. I am currently working on a granny square lapghan for my grandmother. It's sort of become my therapy.

I'm a knitter, but have been meaning to learn how to crochet. I took a sock class with my mom and sister in March but have yet been able to cast on anything because TOO MANY PROJECTS. Currently working on two things: a blanket and two hats for a fellow APTMer's impending bebbeh (I'll post pics after I send them to her) and a mermaid tail blanket for my niece. I'll be making three of them before Christmas, for my 5 year old, 4 year old, & 2 year old nieces. The 2 year olds is pictured. All three will have the mint color, but the vary in the second. 2 year old is navy (obvs), 4 year old will be bright pink, 5 year old will be purple. I'm rally excited for them. They're knit in knit picks mighty stitch yarn and it's SUPER soft and squishy. I may need one for myself. I really should have been done with the blanket and hats already but I realized after I finished binding off one hat that I had dropped a stitch, so I kind of fixed it then put it in the corner for a few weeks because I was so mad at it. That is now done and I'm about halfway done with hat 2. After that just washing, blocking and shipping!

Thank you! I just learned last year and was really tempted to do the Voolenvine BoxofSox this year but my knitting eyes are bigger than what my hands can handle. (Too many projects, too little time)

I just picked up knitting again after a year or so break. I have a huge stash and found a half done baby blanket that I started for a kid that is now 8, lol. I really like the yarn and pattern so I've decided to finish it for the LO I have due in July.

I haven't knitted in a while. I like to do it in the evenings, but I've gotten out of the habit the last six months for a thousand different reasons. I'm hoping things settle down here soon and I can get back to it.

Let me know when and I'll see if I can find (or make) a decent crocheting tutorial. The hardest part is the foundation chain and then turning. Risscaboobs bonzo enchanted rablissful

I knit, but slowly. I made a couple toques and a bear cowl this winter but I have been working on a pair of socks for about a year. Who am I kidding, it's tiny stitches so I've been working on one sock for a year.
