I know there are a lot of yarn lovers here!
Do you knit or crochet or both?
What is your favorite thing to make?
Show off your current wip.

I do both, but knitting is my true love. I haven't had time for a project since before nursing school, but I'm hoping to find a new project soon. I don't have any pics on my current phone, but I'll try to dig some up at some point.

I do both as well. My yarn stash is ridiculous. I'm working on a crochet afghan and I'm knitting a pillowcover.

puff, my yarn stash is quickly getting more and more out of control. And somehow I always need to buy new yarn when I start a new project. I should do a stash buster blanket or something.

I do both but prefer knitting. My current obsession is socks, but my current WIP is a dress for my daughter's b-day that is never going to be finished.

I've been crocheting for as long as I can remember and only recently learned how to knit! Got a couple of projects on the needles - let's see if I can post a pic.

Completed pair of socks!! Strangely - this was the best first true knitting project for me to work on. Rose City Rollers on Ravelry. This is what I've been working on really - making yarn! <3

firefly I'd love to make yarn. It's my dream to have an alpaca or two one day.

honeylemon Start with a drop spindle and 4 oz of merino. It's a deep rabbit hole LOL I know alpacas are herd animals so you definitely need 2 or 3. And herd dogs. But they are awesome.

I'm a knitter and crocheter. I'm currently making a stash blanket with some ugly furry yarn that I am soooo over, but I also have a pair of socks (socks on a plane pattern) on the needles. I love that yarn but my sister bought it so they are for her. Womp womp.

I knit. I want to learn how to crochet though! The hardest part with crochet is how to hold the hook and holding the yarn in your non-hook hand.

I also have a cake of green/red/white yarn I bought for myself at a craft fair so it will probably be next on my needles. I need to purge the crap out of my stash and just use yarn that makes me happy.

I love spinning yarn, I just had to table it until my kid doesn't just understand directions, but actually somewhat listens.

Just got squishy mail with Casual Fashion Haus in Shangri-La. <3

I only ended up with the Hansen (pre-loved) because the wheels were just too big. And plus I can hide it from the dog that has a strange addiction to chewing wood. (Right now I have a little over a lb of BFL washed and ready to be combed and then 10 lbs of Clun Forest that needs washing and combing.)

Thank you! I just learned last year and was really tempted to do the Voolenvine BoxofSox this year but my knitting eyes are bigger than what my hands can handle. (Too many projects, too little time)

Until I am satisfied I will do this forever and it won't go off my radar like chainmail making did (yes, I make armor), I have a single drive wheel I got off etsy. It's the one that looks like a drop spindle, but sideways. Otherwise, I prefer a drop spindle. It's really meditative.

I like the act of spinning/drafting and not having to think about pedaling LOL. OMG I didn't get as far as chainmail, but I do have links. I've actually turned them into stitch markers now. Nothing fancy, but def usable.

I just started knitting in the New Year and I really love it. It is my winding down activity at night. I am working on a shawl that I am pretty proud of right now. I will get a pic of my progress tonight. Here is the pattern though. I might have it finished in time for fall... I just started the third (outer/biggest) section. The wool is merino blend and so cozy.

It's super easy and once you click in your head with what is most efficient for you, it flies. I genuinely enjoyed it, I just couldn't work with metal around my toddler that swallows everything like a snake.
