really though, if you guys want more info on potential trials, or anything new/ exciting, I would be happy to share. My org deals primarily in mental health drugs (MDD, TRD, anxiety, schizophrenia, PTSD, addiction) and some general medicine for dermatology, ophthalmology, etc. We slowed way down last year when we were dealing with so many Covid vaccine and treatment studies, but most pharma companies/ CROs are raring to go with new trials.

lemondrop new treatments for mental health diagnoses pertain to my interests. 🤗 I've got a gazillion MDD and depression studies enrolling right now outside of Philly and in southern CA. If anyone is looking for a study, I'd love to help - we're struggling like mad to enroll. I've got OCD studies in Chicago. I have a digital therapeutic MDD study in Dallas and Chicago. Migraine in Dallas. i've got adult and adolescent asthma in Morgantown, WV. I've got an interesting blood draw study for the prevention of colorectal cancer in Scottsdale AZ. I've got a Covid antigen take home test study in Nebraska.

I expect that when they release for 12+ it will be the same dose. My expectation is it may be less for kids under 12 or they're going to it on a sliding scale by weight.

fatpony I am super curious about your meetings related to going back to work in person in the County. I really don't see going back until next year in my office at this point, it just seems that way from what management keeps saying. I'm continually shocked that some/most county offices are maintaining WFH. The county board is pushing us for more open hours (we started this week being open longer at most branches) and adding in more services. We're doing outdoor programming this summer. The meeting was only library staff and it mostly centered around when/how to add furniture back in, allow study room use, etc. Currently we really only have chairs in the library at limited computer stations. This really makes the library inaccessible for people who need a chair to catch their breath, take a rest, etc. Other people in the meeting are VERY CONCERNED that if we make limited tables and chairs available people will never leave. My argument was that we already allow people to use the computer for over an hour (even though our signs say visit is limited to an hour, the computer will automatically extend their time for 10 minutes) so we're already not even following our own rules. Apparently some branches take monitoring peoples time in the building very seriously, which again, goes to accessibility and need. One branch manager likened the library to starbucks, that if starbucks isn't allowing people to sit in their building we shouldn't either. I told him I took great umbrage with comparing a public library to starbucks - IMO we are not comparable. Our buildings are enourmously larger, high ceilinged, more ventilated. You can use a library without having to remove a mask (not exactly possible with starbucks). Basically, the staff who were vocal (besides me) were against any steps in reopening. But we have to. It's just how it is. And its better if we have a plan for it when it does happen, rather than scrambling each week like they were when this all started. And its not like we're doing all this stuff immediately. This is planning for months in the future. Essentially they were unwilling to consider solutions to issues - like if their bank of computers were all too close together to allow social distance, have IT move the computers. Yes, it's a wiring issue, but its not impossible. I think these people will stall us out of funding and public support and then we'll all be screwed. WHEW. That was a mind dump. tldr - we have to plan for reopening slowly and fully and people on the committee are being idiots about it.

Walz announced for MN:
May 7 - no masks outside unless in large formal events of 500+ May 28 - no indoor capacity limits anymore but indoor masks will still be required July 1 or when 70% of 16+ are vaccinated (whatever comes first) - no state indoor mask mandate

fatpony Very interesting, and understandably frustrating. The comparison of a library to Starbucks is very WTF to me. The function and purpose of both are just so....completely different. richard I like that he's making the 70% thing but I don't love a July 1 date either way. I feel like it just entrenches those that are super opposed into waiting until July 1 and just being petulent children about it.

I saw some projections that David Montgomery did on Twitter and if the rate stays the same as today (which is already lower than a couple weeks ago), it would be mid to late June. So I guess we'll see if the vaccination rate drops significantly more in the next month...

Well I just was in a meeting with my coworkers and two of them mentioned that our boss (normally in this meeting but she took today off) told them both yesterday that there are talks of doing one or two week rotations into the office starting this summer. It's not anything official but it is super different from how things were looking even last week.
I'm not going to lie, it makes me a bit panicky. Mostly because of the risk to kids still and the amount of public traffic we get in our building. But, I'll do it if I must.
I'm also not ready to be done WFH. I like it and also my suits don't fit yet.

Cannot imagine the suit life and prefer not to. I MIGHT be good to fit in them in another month, we’ll see. I haven’t worn a suit jacket or skirt since I was about 4 months pregnant because I wasn’t about to shell out $$ for maternity versions and I got huge with the twins. But judges didn’t say shit about it because they knew I was pregnant with twins lol. I’m not looking forward to it. I’ve gotten so used to zoom court in my soft pants and sweatshirt (my camera doesn’t go below my neck so no one knows).

Looks like the majority of the NYS offices are going back full time come 7/5. Cool... considering I have several on my floor that are anti mask and anti vaccine 🤦🏼♀️ Most of the inspectors are vaccinated, at least. It was pretty much mandatory without being told it is mandatory. It’s all our clerical staff that are the hold outs (and of course, they are in daily 🤦🏼♀️)

I do actually enjoy in person court too but man the clothes required are so uncomfortable.

I've that stage of give no fucks with being a teacher during this raging bullshit dumpster fire at this point. I know that's not an option for you though and I'm sorry solidarity on postpartum bodies being jerks.
