I just finished episode 3.
I thought everything was great until the ending of episode 3. It did seem a lite far fetched to me that they would not transport June and the rest of the run aways in a-a more secure vehicle and b-more securely with ankle shackles, mouths covered, chained into the vehicle, etc. While I do like the hope that June will escape and make it out, it didn't make sense to me after June poisoned all those commanders. You'd think she would be made an example out if regardless of fertility status like the other women before her for minor infractions that were hung on the walls. Keeping June alive is like keeping the movement alive and hope for freedom.

I agree about the implausibility of the women being kept alive. Except maybe Nick is pulling some major strings. Were the women pushed off the roof Marthas? They seemed more like Handmaidens.

I feel there would pressure from the capital to squash and do away with all rebellion especially with the Waterfords caught and the attention June has gained through setting the kids free. I feel like they're stretching Nick's power strings too far. If he has enough power to keep her alive, he should have got her out then. She's in danger if she stays it almost makes it predictable she's going to help/free more before she leaves.
Did they ever touch on her wound? June said it had yellow pus coming out. Did they get her medical treatment?
Also, I think those two women were Marthas that were part of the Mayday network at the young girls farm married to the old commander (I can't remember her name).

I also wondered about her wound. Wasn’t she shot in the stomach area? Could she even have more kids? This was a plot hole that needed addressed for me! Also, I need more info on Rita’s coping after arriving in Canada.

I also agreed that it was unlikely they'd transfer a bunch of rebellion runaways with such little security. I thought it might have been a set-up from Nick or Lawrence, but I can't even imagine what their justification would be.
Also, I realize June and the others had little time to react, but holy hell, at least hit Aunt Lydia over the head with the hopes of knocking her out to silence her and give you a little more time. And take the effing weapon! These people want to kill/torture you! Isn't it apparent you're going to have to fight to survive by now? I couldn't tell if the Guardian took the keys, but my first thought was why the hell didn't they just take the van. I would have chanced it with sneaking up behind the guardian while his pants were literally down, cattle prodding him, taking his gun and the van if he took the keys.
Overall I thought the episodes were great, but at this point I want to see more progress. Two unarmed, escaped handmaidens aren't exactly much to take over Gilead when a bunch from May Day were just killed.

I feel this will be her job to help children adjust.

Oh man I was not happy with Moira’s criticism of June not taking the consequences of removing the children from Gildead seriously! Even if they have a rough transition, it’s still better than a lifetime of sexual slavery, forced marriages, and super fucked up things like public hangings and salvagings happening on the regular! I get where they were trying to go with that scene but they should have left June out of it. Also not crazy about the Serena being pregnant storyline. She doesn’t deserve a baby after everything’s she’s done [\spoiler].

yeah I am super over June’s highly implausible plot armor. They need to move the storyline beyond the repeated cycle of her getting captured, abused and tortured, and then somehow narrowly escaping. I’d love to see more Canada stuff with the refugees rebuilding their lives, Fred and Serena on trial with all the dirty details of how they built Gilead coming out, and more about the inner workings of the plot to being down Gilead from the inside. And way less gratuitous torture scenes. [\spoiler]

ouijabored, I was also annoyed and very WTF to Moira's criticism of June helping the kids get out. She had a tough time adjusting too but does she really think going through the transition was worse than being in Gilead? WTF. And I also feel it's weird June is getting all the credit for the kids getting out. She had very little involvement with all of that and it was a huge effort of a network of Marthas.

Ooooooooof......to the end of #3..
I've been on board that they jumped the shark on June starting S2 and for sure by S3. I mean there's no way they wouldn't have killed her, or removed a body part or 5 by now. Will still watch.

I'm ready to see the storyline progress beyond that. We've seen it, they've set it up. Gilead is a messed up, horrible place for women. Now, I want to see what the rest of the world is going to do about it and how it was able to get to that point to begin with.

Just finished episode 4 How bad must they have smelled after being in that milk 🤢
How does Janine get a new eyepatch to match each outfit?
I was happy to get some Janine flashbacks. Is it foolish to hope maybe her son isn't really dead?
The rebels/Americans(?) are shitty but at least it's something different. Poor Janine.
Fuck Serena and Fred.
I teared up when Rita got to eat her take out food.

I hope Janine & June get out of that place soon.

episode four ugggh my stomach dropped when Steven made his request. How can he express disbelief about sex slaves in America and then immediately demand that one of them blow him in order to stay safe?! All the men in this world are f*cking pathological.
I cheered when Rita told Fred they’re not friends and then ignored his defense that at least he was never cruel to her! Tell Serena off next!
This brings me to my extreme dislike of Tuello always trying to help Serena out. It *really* annoys me that he is so nice to her when he knows full well the many human rights abuses she’s committed. She’s just as much of a POS as Fred. It made sense when he was trying to butter her up in order to get her to switch sides and give evidence against Fred but now that she’s in custody, he should drop the Mr. Nice Guy act and treat her like the scum she is. I seriously hope she ends up in prison for life with her baby taken away from her. #fittingending
I liked the Janine centric episode. I will be so f*cking pissed if she doesn’t make it to Canada, lol. [\spoiler]
