Weeks Pregnant: 26+1
Baby is the Size of a: bowling pin or butternut squash
Appointments: Nothing for a couple weeks
Team? Green/blue/pink? Green
Rants/Raves? This week has been difficult. Just mentally and emotionally draining. But the work week went by quickly enough, I guess. I am ready for the weekend. We have a busy day tomorrow- brunch with one of DD1's friends (I met her mom on my first BMB, and the girls have known each other since birth, they are really good friends. We haven't seen them in over a year!), swim lessons, softball, another close friend kid bday party. Weeeeee.
How are you feeling? Physically feeling better! Finally getting some of that second tri energy, almost at the end of second tri. And reflux meds are working.
GTKY: Have you come up with baby names? Set in stone? Not sure what to pick? We have had an assigned male at birth name picked out since I was pregnant with DD1, and that's Theodore/nn Teddy. We are kind of stuck on a girl name, because we used our two names! lol. Leaning toward Lucille/nn Lucy. My middle name is Lucille and I have always loved it. Plus it fits really well with our two other girls.

Weeks Pregnant: 24 weeks
Baby is the Size of a: eggplant
Appointments: 4/26
Team? Green/blue/pink? Blue
Rants/Raves? We are waiting on flooring to arrive which it won’t until last week of may/first week of June. I can’t really get anything done in there until the new carpet is put in.
I’m also taking any and all suggestions for baby equipment. It’s been 13 years and nothing is the same anymore. Any good recs you all have would be welcome!
How are you feeling? I’m doing fairly well. I’ve had a couple more bouts of dizziness that we can’t really pinpoint why but I haven’t passed out again. My doctor is aware and will check on my appointment on Monday. Otherwise I’ve been feeling pretty good and have had some more energy which is nice.
GTKY: Have you come up with baby names? Set in stone? Not sure what to pick? We have a couple names we’re thinking of using but I haven’t settled on one. This is boy #3 for this house but we also have 7 nephews! We have settled on a middle name which is my FILs name (my DS has my dads name as his middle name).
So far we’re considering Zachary Paul or Cameron Paul. Naming kids is so hard!

skategirl128, it really is hard! So many names in the world, why is it so hard to choose? lol. FWIW I love the name Zachary and I feel like I don't hear it much with younger kids anymore.

It’s really growing on me. I haven’t taught a Zachary which is why it’s on our list! Of the two choices I think I’m leaning towards this one. I love Lucy! And Theodore is great too! Neither of them are popular for young kids names either (I haven’t taught either one and I’ve had so many kids in my class with some of the more popular names). But yes, why is it so hard to name a kid?!?!

Weeks Pregnant: 22w
Baby is the Size of a: coconut
Appointments: Tuesday for follow up ultrasound and OB
Team? Green/blue/pink? Pink
Rants/Raves? I’m already having a hard time sleeping through the night especially because of carpel tunnel in my wrists. This time is way worse though because it’s my whole arms
How are you feeling? See rants
GTKY: Have you come up with baby names? Set in stone? Not sure what to pick? I still can’t decide on a name. My 3 girls’ names end in N so I was going to go with that for this name too but I know someone with a kid named the names I like for most of them. Why is this so hard? If we stay with N we are either going to do Emerson or Sloane, if not maybe Kennedy. I’m sure it will be a last minute decision here

Weeks Pregnant: 23 weeks
Baby is the Size of a: grapefruit
Appointments: beginning on May
Team? Green/blue/pink? Blue
Rants/Raves? I’m getting closer to being done with painting DDs new room. And I’ve gone through a bunch of our saved baby clothes and kept what I want and am giving the rest to friends or a local foster closet. I’m excited to have this stuff all out of my house soon.
How are you feeling? DD brought home a cold last 2 weeks ago and shared it with me last weekend. It hit me full force Wednesday and now I’m to the point where talking hurts. I just want to feel normal again.
GTKY: Have you come up with baby names? Set in stone? Not sure what to pick?
We haven’t talked baby names yet. We don’t usually start discussing names until 7 ish months and then we take our short list to the hospital for after they are born. My top name is Theodore but I don’t know if H will go for it. Baby’s middle name will be James (H’s family tradition).

mrspants I’m so sorry, I hope you feel better soon. With DD1, I got a cold that lasted for the last 2 or so months of pregnancy. It was miserable.

Thanks skategirl128 and thatgolfb - I’m hoping to be on the other side of it soon. I really hope it doesn’t last too long.
I hadn’t had a chance to read earlier - I love the names Zachary and Lucille.

I’m feeling human again today! Yay! Still have a random hacking cough but completely normal other than that.
My H has been transitioning to a new position all this year and he’s been shadowing someone who was supposed to retire at the end of the year. We just found out today that the guy is now retiring at the end of June. 😬😬😬 we will now have to most likely cancel our vacation the beginning of June and it’s going to make the transition of the baby and DD starting school at almost the the same time really difficult.

Glad you’re feeling better mrspants. Nothing like a little surprise job news — hoping it goes better than expected for you and YH. You’re not alone in feeling very round thatgolfb... I can’t believe I’m only officially hitting third tri on Friday because It seems I should have crossed that milestone awhile ago with the way I look and feel! Also I’m living the naming life vicariously through you guys. You all have good taste in names! thatgolfb Lucille nn Lucy is lovely. We strongly considered Lucy for DD.

friendofdobby, I meant to ask if the intended parents have any name ideas! Maybe that's too personal of a question. I just love talking about names, haha. And yes omg I feel like I should have been in third tri for weeks already, but I don't hit it until tomorrow (or next Thursday if you go by 28 weeks, but 27 makes more sense to me).

thatgolfb and friendofdobby I’m still 4 weeks from third tri and I already feel huge and uncomfortable. With DD she was always super low in my pelvis and I had to wear a belly support band starting at about 3rd tri. This one is just as low and I’ve been needing the band for the last couple of weeks. It’s going to be a long summer.
I love to talk names- I taught Kindergarten for almost 10 years and had some very interesting names. My H is a grump and doesn’t want to talk names.

I love talking names too mrspants. I could name 20 girls but boy names are so much tougher. We are done having children but there’s so many beautiful girl names out there! I tend towards more classic names and DD is Alexandra nn Alex. DS would have been Claire if he were a girl. thatgolfb not too personal! I do think they have a name for my belly buddy but they haven’t shared it yet. They are coming to visit on May 8-9 so I’m hoping for some good time together and perhaps they’ll share it then.

I thought you guys would enjoy this. An old lady stopped me at Trader Joe's yesterday, and told me my shirt was too tight for the baby. My maternity blouse over a maternity camisole.
I rolled my eyes and purposely ignored her. Because... what?

thatgolfb wtf to that lady. She sounds wonderful and similar to my mil. I don’t know why people think they have the free reign to say whatever they want to pregnant women.
