I got out of bed early, made myself breakfast, chugged a coffee, and sat down at my PC ready to do these stupid live chats for my course. Then I saw that they're tomorrow morning, not today, and I could have been sleeping instead. So my Monday is going great. How about you, ladies?

misskilljoy, that sucks! My H is on vacation from work this week, and we both just got out of bed at 8:30. I feel super lazy, but I guess I needed the sleep.

I'm hoping to go to Newport, RI either today or tomorrow to do a few mansion tours and the cliff walk (path on a cliff along the beach near the mansions). H didn't seem totally on board, but I'm going to keep working on it.

Morning! DS threw a fit when H went to get him instead of me. So we all got up and ate breakfast. Last day of our stay-cation. Working on potty training today- I don't think this is meant to be attempted without wine 😊

Blah. Do I have to go to work? I caught the cold DH has been fighting. Asshole.
We go on vacation next week though! I'm excited to not be obligated to check my work email for a few days. I do need to figure out an out of the office response though. It's a pain in the neck on my version of outlook.

Working on potty training today- I don't think this is meant to be attempted without wine 😊 DS (2.5) has used the potty a few times at daycare but we haven't done any official potty training. I think we are going to need to do the naked time trick so he can figure out what the peeing sensation feels like. He will happily sit on the potty but doesn't pee.

I'm trying to be productive at work this Monday. My family threw a sprinkle for my cousin and I who are due 2 days apart this weekend. It was really nice. We were all in town for my grandmas 90th birthday so it was a fun weekend all around.

DD started by sitting on the potty while watching Peppa Pig. After a few weeks of casual things like that, she started to know what it feels like to pee. Now she can actually make herself pee, but she still doesn't really have any warning when she holds it too long and has to suddenly go. We're getting there... slowly. Mostly motivated by food (she gets 4-5 marshmallows each time she uses the potty).

DS knows the sensation just doesn't like to sit for long enough to go. He will tell us when he peed in his diaper. I'm doing underwear with a pull-up over it and a timer. We've made it almost 2hrs with no accidents! obviously daycare can't put him on the potty every 15min but this is the longest we've been dry!

I sat on a runway in Las Vegas for 3 hours yesterday. We had no air for approximately 2 hours of it. We ended up getting home after midnight and we get up at 4:45A. So... needless to say, I'm exhausted. But, I have an X-ray for my collarbone today to see what our next steps are. Hoping it shows healing, it has felt so much better.

That sounds brutal fancy, it must have been so hot! I'm glad your collarbone is feeling better though. This weekend went by way too fast, and I don't even know why I babysat my friend's 5 year old for a good chunk of Saturday so maybe that's why! Last night we had a nice family dinner at my parents so we got to see my two nieces again. DH was great with them, held the 2 weeks old for ages (I think he just didn't know what to say to give her back, haha) and shelled about 100 pistachios for the 2 year old It's a good thing I have a big family because with those two and our little one we'll need all the hands available!

My husband is excitedly telling me about how he gets to animate drool dripping from a hyena's mouth onto Zazu's head today and how he's having fun finding the perfect moment in dialogue for it to finally break off and fall.
His job is so weird.

Hi.
DD and I went to boot camp this morning and whenever she wakes up we're going to the park with my mom. DH got anew boss at work today and he doesn't think he can come and go at earlier times anymore, so I guess he won't be home until like 5pm. That'll give me some time to figure out my instant pot.

If you mean the park, we are not. It's very far away from us and we aren't big into amusement parks, heh.

Hola, muchachas. I don't really have much to say yet today. Work is... Work. I have Thursday off, though, since I am working Saturday. I scheduled a prenatal massage!

bethkate The cliff walk in Newport is breathtaking! Only went once but it was definitely memorable. Have Fun! fancy that sounds like hell even when not pregnant. Hope the collarbone heals quickly for you! Had another growth scan this morning. Baby still measures a week ahead and is weighing almost a pound at 21 weeks! I scheduled my next for 4 weeks from now instead if 2. I'm feeling him now so I think I'll be ok with 4. Going every 2 weeks was starting to get monotonous.

Ds3 will be 2 next month and I just started sitting him on the potty. He tells me when he poops and pees but has no desire to sit on the potty and do it. The older boys were so much easier training!
I just have him on the big potty insert (that's how I trained the older 2). Do you guys think I should buy him a smaller potty for him to sit on while watching tv etc?
I liked using just the insert so I didn't have to train them to use the bigger toilet but ds3 has no interest in sitting on it. What do you think?

quinn and AnnPerkins, add me to the big baby club. He's measuring 2 weeks ahead. 1 lb 1 oz. I did IVF, so... yeah. Pretty sure on those dates. Lol. They actually had me do the GD test early which I passed, but will redo at 24 weeks. I've only gained 7 pounds? (Not a humble brag, I'm overweight to begin with!) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Add me to the big baby club. Estimated weight of 15oz at my 20 week scan and measuring a week ahead. DS was only 6 lbs 7oz when he was born (and 2 weeks early) so #2's growth will likely slow down/level off. I've gained less than 10 lbs (currently 24 weeks) but I didn't gain much until 3rd trimester last time. AnnPerkins, how far ahead do you have to be measuring for them to change your due date? I thought it was 2 weeks on a couple scans.

DS was 5lbs 4oz at 33 wks. My fundal measurement was about 2 weeks ahead at the appointment right before he was born. No one had ever mentioned either of them being big this early, though.

I thought it was 2 weeks on a couple scans. At this point they don't generally change due dates no matter what the scans say. Scans are notoriously inaccurate at our point in pregnancy. If you had an early dating US, they will stick with that because early US are very accurate for dates. With DD, they were expecting her to be almost 10 lbs due to their scans. She was 8lb15oz, so still big, but not 10 lbs. I was measuring ahead for half of second tri and all of third tri by 4-6 weeks and that didn't affect anything.

DD was giant. She wasn't too heavy, but she was off the charts for height and still is today. This time, I'm measuring ahead but the baby was firmly 50th percentile at the anatomy scan (except for the short legs... so short). It'll be really weird if I have a 6 lb baby after my experience with DD.
