A random pandemic thing I miss--5ks. I'm not the biggest K-er. I'm certainly not serious about them and always side eye the people who try to "win" them. But there are a couple I normally do every year that are fun. One is a really pretty one in OR near where my parents live and another is hosted by our vet running through the country area here. Virtual runs don't do it for me.

Yesterday's turtle feeding play date went well. Only the Dad showed up, which was a little awkward, but pretty much how this mom works. She sets up the date, then sends her husband and all the kids. He's quiet, I'm quiet, it's hard to hold a conversation. So we saw and fed a million turtles, caught some minnows in little nets, and screamed at a few snakes. All in all it was a good time.

Cass has a bit of a lisp with certain letters. Last night we were driving home and she told me she wanted to listen to "a song by Billy Isle." I was trying to figure it out, inquiring "Billy Idol...Billy Joel." She kept repeating a sound like "isle" or "I-lish." I finally realized there is an actual singer named Billie Eilish and I'm just a million years old so even though she was pronouncing it correctly I had no clue who she was talking about.

Morning. SSDD over here. School for both kids, Chiro for baby girl, she fell asleep on the way home so I took a detour and grabbed a coffee to go. It was nice. I accidentally ordered double the amount of pork chops I needed, so I’m making dinner for my parents to, they just need to finish it of in the oven.

I’m feeling the gifs today. inthekitty lol at the Billie Eilish confusion. I know she has/had green hair and she wears baggy clothes so people can’t criticize or judge her body. O can maybe pick her song out if it comes on the radio, but can’t just sing any of them on the spot.

I have been so tried the last few days. We’ve been going to bed around 10:30 and it’s just not enough hours for me, I guess.

I’m making Mac and cheese for the first time ever. I think my kids have it twice in their lifetimes (one being a few weeks ago from Popeyes) and they said they love it, so it’s a perfect chilly rainy day for it!

Didn't know about the baggy clothes thing. I knew the green hair and that she's a fan of The Office. I recognized one of her songs (ocean eyes) once Alexa did her thing. I was like, "oh yeah! That girl who slouches, has flat affect, and green hair!" That's about as vast of my knowledge of her goes.

guster I checked out zenni last night and they are cheap and cute. I may order a couple pairs to keep in certain places for just in case. Like my car or upstairs so I’m not looking for the one pair that I set down who knows where. I’m probably a nerd, but I am I intrigued by the pairs with the magnetic shades on them. I want to try them out.

I don’t think I’ve seen those. I did just order a prescription pair of sunglasses to keep in my car.

Wtf? Not sure if it would be worth it to you, but you could get security to check cameras for a culprit. Was yours the only one keyed?

That’s funny. I refuse to get the ones with the magnetic sunglasses because they remind me of old people (my mil wears them, for example). Maybe they have newer, hipper styles. I have prescription sunglasses.
