My last 3 days at my job. My motivation level is gone. I'm still sitting on thr sofa in my Jammies, but checking email on my phone.

Evie has a dentist appointment today and girl scouts later. They're doing a unit on animals, so someone is bring out a 3 1/2" alligator.

H is staying home today. He still has symptoms, even though his test was negative. Not sure if his company will send him for another test.

Morning! Feels like a Monday. Zero desire to do virtual school and parent, but it's supposed to be 60 out!

Morning. Thanks for the kinds words yesterday ladies. To be honest I found my own grief less hard than ds’. He was so sad. He couldn’t fall asleep last night so I took him to our bed to cuddle and chat. After a while baby girl had to nurse and all three of fell a sleep at some point and I actually had a semi decent night of sleep.

Silver linings? My sister is flying in. She’ll have to do a bazillion COVID tests (seriously, 48 hours before entering, four hours before departure, one after landing, one after 5 days, one 24 hours before flying back, one after landing in Oslo and then one after seven days....).

I’m not sure if we’ll bring the kids... thoughts?

Eta to the cremation I mean.

nam2013, I am always on the fence about kids. I think, given how sensitive your boy is, it might be hard on him. Maybe your family can do something personal to honor her without all the grandeur of a funeral ceremony that might be overwhelming for him.

My kids were involved when my grandmother passed a few weeks ago, but it was over zoom and felt quite impersonal. Also, they were not super close to her (she lived a plane ride away so we really only saw her 1 x per year, and due to covid it had been 2 years since we had seen her). So it was more just curiosity for them.

Just made an appointment for Wednesday morning to possibly have my toenail removed. Fun times are being had over here!

Covid arm update: still sore. Didn't help that my kid joined me in bad last night at 1am and that's when my new phone decided to show me that it has charging notifications. Every time it went up 1% it buzzed. WTF phone?

jewels that’s what I was thinking... I’d be okay with zoom. They’re still allowing small ceremonies (<30) over here. So this would be in person.

Eta normally they would see my grandparents every 6 weeks or so, some months more, so months less. I talk to my grandma every week. Last year they saw them three times total outside during the summer.

Today is my wedding anniversary. I didn't realize it until FB memories reminded me. I sent mh Tiff's Treats (warm cookies and brownies) to our house.....mostly so when I get home I can have cookies and brownies.

I got the boys off to school and MJ and I went to the grocery. Got those all put away, dropped of mail to the post office, dropped off recycling, dropped off paperwork to one of my local drivers, got my bridesmaid dress from the cleaners, got J from school, dropped him at my moms. Now I'm doing paperwork while MJ naps. A just texted that he has to grab a welder on the way home so he's leaving work 2.5 hours early. So that'll put him home about an hour early. I am very excited. MJ woke up grumpy today..

I had to get my brand new bridesmaid dress dry cleaned because Tigger got stuck in our closet a few weeks ago, he sleeps in a basket in the top of the closet and I didn't see him and closed it. Well he pooped on my dress, the plastic garment bag wasn't tied and the very bottom was out. And he peed on 2 pair of boots that I put straight in the trash.. Thank god he didn't pee on the dress. So now the dry cleaning bag is tied and I will watch better when I close the closet.

Marty has never gone outside the box but he has a strong preference for a "clean bowl" and will hold it until its clean. I clean daily anyway but make sure its up to snuff so he doesn't hold enough to get crystals.

After dropping C to school I basically danced into the house! It's my first day alone in over a week. I really need alone time to recharge. I've gotten a ton of work done and went for a walk with my neighbor. Not much else going on, which is nice!

Hey! I've been back to work for a week now and I still feel like I am swimming in the deep end trying to catch up. I need to get 2-3 more people hired for the summer and I need to find 2 sets of campground hosts and I am running out of time.

We spent this weekend in Mississippi and got home late last night so I am exhausted today. And My brain is mush. This morning I forgot to give Sierra her morning seizure meds. I never usually forget those because it is just such a part of our lives and routine...but this morning I prepared them, then left them on the counter. So I had to run back up to school to give them to her.

I’m at work. I’ve been in the royal thread catching up this morning. I’ll be off soon but I have a ton to try to catch up on since we were out of town this weekend. I hope I don’t get called in the next few days because I have a lot on my to do list before we are out of town again this upcoming weekend.

klong11 Happy Anniversary...I like the idea of an anniversary gift for both of you! Very smart!
Our older dog pooped and peed in our basement this morning before we were up (camera in the living room captured her standing at the top of the stairs, looking around, then going down.) Fortunately, she peed on the wood floor, so it was easy to clean up, but damn, I was awake in bed, I'm not sure how I missed her jumping off the bed.

Evie's dentist appointment went better than I expected. The tooth we had the cap on, that fell off, during Covid, then hearing some disturbing news about her dentist, plus her JIA diagnosis, well, the tooth is full on rotten and pretty much gone. I'm taking her in the 29th to get what is left of it pulled and a filling in the tooth behind it. Dentist thought it could be done with laughing gas. She liked this office much better than the old place, so I'm glad I got her in (it's the place H and I go to). I'm hoping they have an opening this Thursday, I'm not excited about having to take time off work 2 weeks after starting a new job, but I want to get it done in March, in case there is a wait period on new insurance.

Hey. We ended up buying bikes on Saturday afternoon and then I took the big girls separately around the neighborhood for a short bike ride. I got my van cleaned out and just enjoyed the nice weather. After I picked S up from school we went to the zoo, she ate her lunch and we walked around. They have sanitizer and reminders to mask/social distance everywhere. I saw this morning the CDC said it’s ok for fully vaccinated people to hang out indoors with either other fully vaccinated people or low risk people, so that’s exciting.

I read that too trtlcrzy. I need to talk to my mom about it because I need to finalized plans for Easter and spring break which comes immediately after. We might do our first visit to my mom's house in a year but we're not going if they want us to wear masks the whole time (obviously not because we're antimaskers but when we're staying in the same house for 2 days and eating together masks aren't doing anything...the only adult among us not vaxxed is MH).

I desperately want a break and we might take a 2 day vacation after Easter so I want to figure out our plans to help guide where to go.
