Morning! MH is out of town, and S has at home learning today. After we dropped B off, he decided he wanted to exercise before school. I did it will him and now I'm out of breath and thirsty.
FYI, it was about 6 minutes.

Morning!
I skipped the elliptical this morning, too tired to get up. It's going to be beautiful here today, so I figure I'll go for a walk at lunch.
Headed to the office soon.
I sent an email to my soon to be new boss, letting him know my brother works for one of their suppliers, just to be transparent. I know some employers would consider it a conflict of interest, so I wanted to be completely up front about it, so I'm nervously awaiting him to respond that it won't be an issue.

C has a cough. Well kind of. It is post nasal drip and he keeps clearing his throat and making this sneezing/cough sound. I spoke to the school nurse and she agrees it is likely allergies but should test him just in case so I am taking him later this morning. He is distance learning today even though I told him he didn't have to. Hopefully the day goes smoothly. He will be home tomorrow as well unless we get a PCR test back super quick and he improves.
Aside from that I am just going to try and get some work done. I might take tomorrow off but I will see how today goes.

Morning! Came into my temporary work space to find water leaking from two lights. So I’m working with facilities to get it fixed. What a great way to start my day (sarcasm)

woo hoo klong11!!! Based on the NJ guidelines, I am like 1 bad eating day away from qualifying for weight. I know I could just sign up anyway since it's not like they bust out a scale to prove it, but I'm thinking a day of eating all cake and potato chips doesn't sound so bad, lol. Either way, I am waiting. Having MH vaccinated has really reduced a lot of my stress about all this.

When I qualify, I'll have to make sure I get them on Thursdays so A is off F-Sun in case I have a reaction.
A and I have drastically cleaned up our eating and I've been saying for 2 weeks that I'm going to start working out. I finally started today. 30 minutes on the tread mill is all MJ would allow, but it's a start.

I started working out last week. I bought a six week zoom set of strength classes. One day is legs and butt, the next is chest and back, and the last day is arms. It’s been great— it’s only a half an hour and because it’s not cardio I feel like I can easily do it in the playroom while the kids are here or even if I’m alone. It’s live at 830, but she sends the zoom recording to us right after she finishes the last class so I have been trying to do it as soon as I get home from the drop offs. I’ve been keeping up with it so far!

I'm taking H to the doctor this afternoon for a wound check and then I'm making black bean & butternut enchiladas for dinner. I'm so excited.

Hi.
I’m done with the bulk of my patients for today. Only one more in an hour or so. I have some personal stuff -aka bills and whatnot-to do in my spare time. I forgot something for breakfast this morning, so I ate my lunch before 11. I’ll probably need second lunch today.
I haven’t really ventured into the world of butternut squash, but I have always thought those enchiladas sounded good. I’ve been scared to make them though. This is silly, but in my mind I want to try them (and more vegan/vegetarian meals) at a restaurant. It’s like before I go into cooking it all myself, I want to try it and make sure it’s something I like. I’m weird.

I got a message from mh asking what he should do with Cadence. Like an activity. .....she's 7, ask her what she wants to do.
I asked him to go pick up the books she has on hold at the library and gave him her card number. He asked if he just goes in and gives them the number. No! It's all curbside right now, has been for a year. Do NOT try to go inside.

The rapid test was negative so we are just waiting on the PCR, which can take up to 48 hours. He is coughing less and is now crying because he wants to go outside and play with the neighbors and can't. I feel bad that he is bored but I have to work. I did take the day off tomorrow though so it should be a little easier than today.

Hey. I had my 3rd and final orthodontist consult this morning. Now I have to talk to DH and decide which one to go with. It’s going to take 2-3 years total, which sounds like no fun. Other than that it’s been laundry and picking up.

This week has been busy. I’m back working in person and students are returning Monday. There are already new covid cases in 3 schools and right now everyone is alone in a room so that’s not encouraging. My school had our first faulty fire alarm in the middle of online school today so that was also special. We took the kids shopping for shoes and back packs on Sunday. They haven’t been to a store in a year and I learned T and C do not know how to get on and off escalators. Waiting to see what other random skills we don’t have after a year of quarantine.

H just came home and told me the guy he shares an office with, tested positive for Covid. He was at work when H got there yesterday, but sitting in his truck and told H he was leaving. Called out today, let them know late today he was positive. His company is sending him for a covid test tomorrow.
On a positive note, this should get me out of going to the office until his test result comes back.

H's wound check went well. Still no swimming until the scab is gone so I need to call the swim school tomorrow.

Hi. Work was busy and I have little cell service in my temp office.
Two ceiling lights were leaking water and only got the floor and a chair wet. Which was good because we had a ton of expensive equipment in there.
I’m glad H had a good checkup. tgrimes

They haven’t eaten in a restaurant in a year either, not sure what kind of skills we will have there by the time we do that again. Even the dog acted like I’d been gone for years when I got home from 4 hours of work today.

Eta I put her in a cart so I can control her distance to other people.

Yeah, I took S shopping a few times during summer when things had eased up a bit around here b/c I can trust him. But B hasn't been in a store in a year, and neither have been in a restaurant in a year. We outdoor dined once in August.
