Back from vacation! How are you all doing?

Morning! Josie’s teacher sent out her weekly newsletter last night. And she just threw on there that they are celebrating Dr. Seuss’s birthday by wearing Dr. Seuss inspired costumes.
So as soon as I drop Charlie off, I’m running to the party store to see what they have available.
Otherwise same old over here.

I have to go into the office to start training my replacement. I'm really dreading it because I dont get along well with him. Our corporate office is flying someone in, which I think will be very beneficial to my replacement. I told him I'd only be in the office from 9 to 2 this week.

I got to work early so I’m listening to the news and music. I’m tired. Work should be interesting. Then homework tonight.

Dear lord. I made my dad cry... I’ve seen this maybe 5 times in my entire life. They cleaned my house while we were away and took the laundry with them too. They just brought back the hamper with clean clothes. I had baby girl in a moby wrap and my dad pulled away part of the fabric to have a better look, whilst doing this he gave me a very unexpected kiss. It startled me and I cried, I mean, I haven’t gotten a kiss from him since this crap all started, and then he started to cry too!

We normally social distance, but I’m happy I got the kiss, I missed it. You should have seen the look on my kids faces though, they could not grasp what was happening 🤦🏼‍♀️.

Anyhow I’m still an emotional mess an hour later 😂.

I'm at the office. My friends are going out this Friday to "celebrate my birthday." I need to pick a restaurant. Decisions, decisions. It might rain so I need to find one that has a covered patio.

I hate when they do that stuff last minute. Esp in these times when many of us are not comfortable running from store to store

Party City had a TON of stuff when we were there yesterday.

I just got word that Cadence is supposed to dress up like an old lady on Wednesday for the 100th day of school. Not so exciting when we know she's been sitting for remote school for 100 days. But of course, she wants to dress up, so I'll have to add that to my already hectic morning.

My kids are both usually party poopers about dressing up, so I usually don't push it. They are doing dr seuss week for B, with a different thing each day, all easy stuff we don't need to shop for.

Today was dress like dr seuss with a striped shirt and/or fun hat. We talked about it yesterday and he grabbed a hat and wore it around the house, then grabbed 2 hats to wear which definitely seemed dr. seuss-y to me. This morning I handed him the hat and he flipped out. So he's just wearing a striped shirt. Rest of the week is pretty easy like wear green for green eggs and ham, etc. Friday is Oh the places you'll go so they are supposed to dress like what they want to be when they grow up. He wants to be Captain America lol

I would to! That’s why I love being a class mom, I can anticipate, it really helps the control freak in me 😂.

guster I think I'd just put him in a primary colored patterned top if you have one and all it a day. Very annoying when the teachers don't give ample warning for this stuff.

The kids have online school and I don't have much on the agenda. Maybe I'll see if there's reservations available at the Children's Museum this afternoon.

Morning. S was resistant to going to school this morning, which is always annoying. I need to go to the mall for a return before I pick her up, but of course they don’t open till 11. H has dr. Seuss dress up this week too. Today they are supposed to wear animal print, S did her dress up days last week.

She was fine all weekend. I wish there was some consistency in when she feels like crap.

She did seem a little sad when I dropped her off this morning, I think she knows me being home FT is coming to an end and things are about to change big time.

Morning. N has dr Seuss week too. Today is mismatch day, so she just threw on some random clothes.

I started my day with a pregnancy test. Spoiler alert: not pregnant. Which would be a miracle considering dhs vasectomy. Lol. But my cycle has been getting shorter and shorter each month, and now is 4 days longer than last month so I am very WTF. I’m sure my period will show up any minute now.

It’s Dr Suess week here, too but they are calling it Read Across America week. Today is hat day so M wore a hat. He usually doesn’t like to participate with weird dress up days, but this week it’s all easy stuff, so he won’t have any issues.

I’m at work and pretty busy. This afternoon should be a lot slower. M is supposed to have his first baseball practice tonight, but it’s a rainy mess outside, so I’m waiting for them to cancel.

Dr Seuss days aren't a thing here. I am surprised at all the Dr Seuss theme days, I thought that there has been some movement on weaning him out/cancelling over his racism?

Yup!  Because they never heard back from the doctor's office regarding his follow up.  It was dapostrophe - baby no 5, I believe.  Does anyone still talk to her?

I think dapostophe is on FB although she doesn't post much.

So the moron I'm training took a break after 1 hour and 45 minutes then came in and said he wanted to wait to review more until the guy from NY is in the office. Cool. I left. I'm waiting for a pre employment drug screen. I swear they told someone the wait is an hour 45 minutes. I just need to pee in a cup. And I need to pee! Let's get this show on the road. Im hoping she is getting something else done.

Lol yes, I remember that! Which is why i took a test, you can never be so sure! And Dh doesn’t see the need to do the follow up to make sure he’s in the clear.....😑

Re dapostrophe I don’t remember problems, and she’s actually my only board meetup - I met her whole family and they were great. But obviously that doesn’t mean they weren’t having problems. I am connected to her on Facebook and I’m 99% sure they are still married. She usually posts a bunch of stuff about home schooling from what I recall.
