I barely know what day it is. It’s a perpetual weekend with closings for snow, covid, breaks. Hopefully everybody is back on track with the warmer weather happening here in the Northeast. Warm being 40°. 🤪

I'm off too. I feel like I lost a day with being sick on Sunday. Not mentally ready to start the work week again. But here I am. *sigh*

We had a babysitter Saturday evening and the house was a disaster (end of a 60 hr work week). It's more or less put together now and I want to call her over to sit again, walk her around the house as we go over instructions, then fake an excuse that we don't need her anymore and send her home with $20 just so she can see we don't perpetually live in squalor.

I’m working from home and M is watching BFG. We’ll need to go to the grocery store at some point today. That’s all I got.

Morning! My days are all off too because I worked yesterday and don't typically work Mondays. Virtual school and grocery pickup is all we have going on today.

Morning! Definitely warming up here today..we will be close to 70. Grilling steaks for dinner!
I have an interview at 11 then am going to deliver the GS cookies I didn't get around to doing this weekend. Evie has her first swim lesson today at 345. When I pick her up from school, we will head straight to the swim school place, there isn't time to come home and change and make it on time. So I'm not getting a lot of work done today. I should have taken at least half day of PTO, especially since I found out that I will only get paid for time accrued, not my entire annual PTO, so I feel like I should use some time. I get 144 hours a year, but have only accrued 24 to date. But I think I'll just use my WFH time wisely and at least get what I can from the assholes.

Morning.
I was so tired this morning. After dropping the boys off, I came home to chug coffee. I’m still not feeling very energetic. I have a to do list that I need to start working on so I feel a little productive today. Nothing exciting.

Haven't had a period since December. Figured it was just early menopause. Nope, guess what arrived bright and early this morning. Uuuuuuugh, its like my entire body is a freaking cramp right now and I wish I was lying in bed instead of sitting at this stupid front desk.

Ugh, I'm sorry klong11. That's the worst. One of the many reasons I want to permanently work from home--at least I can wallow in my misery in my comfort space rather than trying to look more presentable in the office while I try to make it through the workday. I'm still waiting for the day we can just get a chip implanted or a scan code or something that can be activated to just turn periods off.

I mean, our house is always fairly clean, but toys are rarely all cleaned up, etc. Our babysitter (who I haven't seen in a year) also babysits for some friends' families. I always wonder what she thinks when she is here vs there where I know everything is in it's place. But, I am who I am.

My dr said your periods can be fucked up for a few years before they go away completely. My girlfriend recently started and has been skipping a month here and there and when it comes she said it's like you said, she has excruciating pain and more blood than is normal.

I always wonder what she thinks when she is here vs there where I know everything is in it's place. But, I am who I am. Lolz. It was even more depressing that we didn't even have a sitter for something fun. My husband is my work's "family readiness leader" (military thing) and the Commander asked him to be there for our annual basket raffle (which we do to raise money for parties that we can't have because of COVID). So he showed up at what should have been near the end of the workday and had to stay an hour longer than anticipated and pay the sitter to stay later because that job perpetually runs way later than it should due to lack of a spine and disorganization. On the plus side I won the big basket--an Xbox! But we also bought a ton of tickets knowing it was basically charity going back into my unit. That was a very expensive sitter. If it were me, I would have ran around the house and done a quick clean-up before the sitter came over. But I was at work and it was my husband...and he is a total failure at cleaning. I need to work on instilling shame in him more.

Perimenopause is great...not. My period is a week and half late. I don't really care, but I wear something everyday, just because I know it's going to happen at the most in-opportune time. I was so used to being like clock work from being on the pill forever, so this is all new and I hate it. And yes, worst periods I've had my entire life.
I think the interview went well. I spoke to 2 people, they said they had 2 more interviews this afternoon. It was kind of weird though, they spoke way more about themselves and the company than asking me questions.

mwhip a lot of people just suck at interviewing. At my old job, whenever I had to interview with certain people, I always had to remind them to just shut up. They would literally talk about themselves for the whole time if I allowed it. So weird. Also re: menopause - I am unfortunately going in the opposite direction. My cycle has shortened and shortened. It's now typically between 23-26 days, although some months as quick as 19-20 days. So I basically always have my period. This is only in the past 2 -3 years. I used to be like clock work as well.

Hey. We’re having a heatwave, it’s 52 degrees out! The girls and I spent a few hours outside this afternoon, it was so nice. I ran to Walmart this morning to get S bday presents (her actual bday is Friday, so you know doing that last minute thing) and the store I went to is under remodel. What a mess. I wasn’t able to find everything I was looking for so it looks like I’m going to have to go to target as well. I need to shower before work tonight so hopefully I can make that happen in the next hour so I don’t have to blow dry my hair, because I hate doing it.

I’m trying the tik tok pasta tonight. I read an article that said Greek feta makes for a better dish, but I couldn’t find any in stores, so I’m using one made in the US. Hope it comes out ok.
It’s also 71 degrees out today. Crazy that we were at real feel 0 degrees exactly a week ago.

I noticed one of the package of rat treats was emptying quickly and let the girls know if they feed them too much they'll get sick. Turns out the girls are the ones who have been eating them. It's Gerber yogi fruit melts but still.
