TFA was trending on Twitter this morning, and it's because of everyone responding to that quoted tweet. I first read it in tenth grade English class and it's stuck with me for a long time.

And this evening, POTUS and MVP are holding a candle lighting ceremony and a moment of silence for the lives lost to Covid-19.

I’ve never heard of TFA, so perhaps I’ll try to get it from the library to read during my non-existent free time. Something needs to get me back into reading!

Add me to the list of those who read it in college. I forget the course - I think it was one of my required history classes for majors. The class basically taught us how to read books for thinking critically. It was probably one of the most useful courses I ever took.

Gwendolyn Brooks is such an amazing poet too. She is accessible and still her work feels relevant.

The class basically taught us how to read books for thinking critically. It was probably one of the most useful courses I ever took. Critical thinking skills and how to read are the two most valuable things I took away from my English degree.

Manchin and Collins say they won't vote for Nebraska, White House doesn't blink.
Edit: Neera. But Nebraska is on notice.

Ok, so how long until we get those tax returns? I am all for biding my time on this - if the SDNY commits reversible error and he skates AGAIN on a technicality I am retreating to a very nice hotel with room service and a minibar to work through my feelings.

So I know I said the other day that I wish Biden hadn’t picked Tanden because it was going to be an uphill political battle. But I still have to say that Susan Collins’ statement on this is absolute garbage. This is the same woman who voted to place Brett Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court. A man who threw a literal temper tantrum in his nomination hearing. That’s the temperament we want on the Supreme Court? People are obviously entitled to their opinion about how Tanden comported herself online, but this is just a ridiculous double standard.
